[Necrass cosplay] Eblana's dark gothic style, looking forward to the new Arknights summer event outfit

The summer event skins update so quickly. After buying the skin, I took the opportunity to sort out this dark-themed photo set of Necrass. As Eblana's classic look, the intimidating presence and mysterious aura of Necrass have always been a style I wanted to challenge. On the day of the shoot, we used plenty of iron chains and skull props, which, along with the eerie blue light shining from below, truly tested my ability to control the character's presence.

There are so many details in the outfit. The upper body features a cross cut-out design at the neckline, while the lower body is a combination of high-cut black Stockings and long boots. During the shoot, I had to constantly pay attention to my posture, not only to highlight the beauty of the long leg lines but also to maintain that aloof, inviolable feeling. I also designed several hand gestures, such as holding a polearm while glancing sideways at the camera, or sitting on a high platform playing with a skull in hand; these were all intended to make the photos better match the setting of that 'bad woman'.

Because there were many props, my range of motion in the scene couldn't be too large, yet I still had to maintain a glamorous and cold feeling. Adjusting my position over and over again was indeed very physically demanding. However, seeing the reflections cast by the blue-purple light on the long silver hair and black horns, coupled with the unique patterns and textures of the clothes, made all the hard work feel worth it.

Regarding the scene setup, the iron chains and drapes were hung in advance. To capture the feeling of looking down from a height or being surrounded by chains, I specifically chose a few higher standing positions. Paired with a telephoto lens to compress the space, this better highlighted the character's proportions. The makeup was also adjusted accordingly, deepening the eyeshadow and lip color to make the facial contours look more three-dimensional and aloof. In addition, special attention was needed at the junction between the high-cut black Stockings and the long boots; we adjusted the angle many times just to present the most ideal leg lines.

As for emotional expression, the character of Necrass inherently carries a sense of looking down upon the world, so I had to exercise restraint in my facial expressions, letting my eyes reveal a sense of disdain and a hint of languor. During the shooting process, I had to fully enter the character and could hardly smile; this feeling is completely different from casually taking pictures at an anime convention. The photographer also gave me a lot of guidance, such as how to make the black robe look more textured under cold light, and how to master the stance while holding the weapon.

A lot of work was also done on the light and shadow in post-production. To create an abyss-like atmosphere, the edge highlights on the legs and weapon were brightened, giving the overall look a cool-toned aesthetic. I think this photo set closely matches the image of the arrogant queen in my heart. Trying out the dark style is indeed a significant physical challenge, and posing in various ways was quite tiring, but the resulting effect met my expectations. Of course, I am equally looking forward to the summer event swimsuits. Different styles have different charms, and it's truly a joy to be able to try all types of cosplay characters.
