[Momonoka cosplay] BW Convention Photos, A High-Energy Arknights Journey - Image 2

These are the Arknights Momonoka BW convention photos from this exhibition. This red, white, and blue outfit look actually went through quite a long period of adjustment from the test look to hitting the floor, but the final effect presented in front of the camera makes me feel that all the preparation was highly meaningful. To embody Momonoka's vibrant and lively traits, I specially paired it with a pink wig and a large red glowing bow as the overall visual anchor, and those bright red gloves are truly the soul every time I lift my hands to strike a pose.

Before the shoot, I communicated with photographer @蛋挞的塔 for a long time, because both of us hoped to capture a clean image texture despite the immensely cluttered lighting conditions of the convention. The foot traffic on-site was exceptionally heavy; often a pose was just set up when a passerby blocked the view, so we could only snatch camera spots by squeezing through any available gaps. This photo of lifting both hands to make a V-sign was precisely snapped at the split second when the crowd dispersed slightly. This angle showcases the clothing's layers to the absolute maximum—the looseness of the white athletic jacket, the crisp texture of the inner denim vest, and that black leather belt with red gemstone-like decorations around the waist were all fully restored by the lens.

The low-angle perspective of the second photo actually poses higher demands on the clothing details, as the lens perspective magnified the white sleeves in the foreground, but it also highlighted the bow tie at the neck and the flow of the wig. To match this gear, I also specifically studied the eye makeup coordination, visually unifying the red colored contacts with the pink hair color so that the overall ambient feel would be stronger. The overhead lighting in Zone B is notoriously difficult to shoot, easily casting a flat look on facial dimensions, but the photographer's fill-light skills were highly on point. It both preserved that unique light and shadow atmosphere inherent to the convention venue and did not wash out the contours of my facial features. This professional level of cooperation saved me a lot of worry on-site.

Speaking of this outfit's material, although it bears some weight, it actually isn't particularly stuffy. The pants feature a short skirt paired with red piping design, making movement inside the convention fairly convenient. That thick leather belt strapped around the waist along with its ruby decorations added a certain weight to the overall look, but it is precisely these details that make the character look more three-dimensional. When I walked around the venue, many passing fellow enthusiasts could quickly recognize the character, which also proves that the replication of Momonoka's image this time is accurate.

Looking back at these two photos now, I feel that the convention's fatigue was actually offset by the excitement during the shooting process. Whether it was that high-energy finger heart gesture or the close-up of blankly staring at the camera, they all authentically recorded my state at that time. This is also where this Anime cosplay activity touches me—bringing the shining traits of the character in the 2D world into reality through an outfit, a hairstyle, and a serious shoot. Although my shoulders were a bit sore on the shooting day and my waist was somewhat stiff from maintaining specific poses, seeing the light, shadow, and texture in the finished photos, along with that dauntless, positive spirit conveyed in the pictures, all the hard work can be brushed aside. This is the record that the photographer @蛋挞的塔 and I completed together at BW this time, a unique imprint belonging to Momonoka from Arknights.
