This Goddess of Victory: Nikke Sora cosplay photo set was completed entirely in a pure white studio. Choosing White background photography is mainly because the lighting is clean and even, which can maximize the texture of the character and clothing. Meanwhile, for sketching materials and Cosplay pose reference, a clean background also facilitates post-production background removal and observing human body structures.
Sora's outfit this time has a great sense of layering. Outside is a dark blue suit jacket, paired with a white short-sleeved T-shirt inside, a small blue scarf tied at the neckline, and the lower body is a dark blue tight miniskirt, tightened with a black belt at the waist. A black choker is worn on the neck, and black glossy platform high heels are on the feet. The wig is black twin-tails, matched with red contact lenses and exquisite makeup, striving to restore the character's temperament. This outfit wraps around body curves very strongly, especially the miniskirt paired with high heels, which greatly tests the leg lines—what people often call the Thick thighs effect. Therefore, during the shoot, I intentionally strengthened the force of the leg muscles to make the lines look smoother.
Props are the highlight of this set of photos. The inner side of the suit jacket is designed as transparent pockets, stuffed with various small props. There are plastic-sealed bags containing colored medicine boxes, bags containing gold coins, as well as passports and paper money. These props not only enrich the frame, but also provide more interactive points for posing. For example, pulling open the jacket with both hands to showcase the inner pockets, or holding up the passport with one hand. In addition, that glowing transparent suitcase is also an exceptional prop. The inside of the suitcase has warm yellow lighting, and the shelves are filled with various medicine bottles. I sat on the suitcase or rested my legs on it, and the light contrast gives the frame a strong atmospheric feel.
Regarding movements and poses, I deliberately paid attention to the sense of limb extension during the shoot. For example, when standing, place one leg in front of the other, put the center of gravity on the back leg, and bend the front leg slightly, which can elongate the leg lines. When sitting on the suitcase, cross your legs and straighten your insteps, which can better showcase the lines of the high heels and leg muscles. Making a V sign with both hands, touching the neck, pulling the jacket—these actions can make the photos look less rigid.
For friends who want to draw sketches or look for action references, this set of images should be quite practical. The flat lighting of White background photography removes complex shadows, making body contours and muscle directions clear at a glance. Both clothing wrinkles and joint transitions are very clear.
The process of shooting this set of photos was quite tiring; wearing high heels and striking various poses takes a lot of physical stamina, but seeing the final photos makes it all feel worth it. I hope everyone enjoys this set of photos.
