Changing into this figure-like white dress of Liberalio, I placed great importance on the accuracy of the styling. Purple twin-tails paired with silver-white hair accessories and a metallic collar directly outline the unique temperament of the jellyfish character in Goddess of Victory: Nikke. The costume selected lightweight, flowing tulle and a textured white bodysuit for its materials; the purple crisscross straps on the chest and the ruffles on the skirt hem make the overall look carry both the tactical feel of a combat suit and the soft agility of a young girl.
During the shoot, we specially chose this light purple high-key soft-light studio, striving to simulate a deep-sea yet dreamy refraction atmosphere. To highlight the character's exquisite "figure-like" precision, I coordinated with the photographer to make some balances in composition and posing. When sitting, my legs were crossed or draped naturally, using the elongation of the white tights to extend the visual effect; when kneeling and extending the wide tulle sleeves, it was necessary to control the light and shadow on the edges of the limbs to avoid overexposed flat whites. This seemingly relaxed posture actually heavily tests muscle control, and one must also constantly mind the state of the props and clothing to prevent sagging from affecting the visual outcome.
When expressing the character's personality, I would try to zone out my gaze with a bit of laziness and aloofness to fit the jellyfish's setting of drifting with the tide yet hiding dark charm. Those translucent tulles extending from the outfit needed to be repeatedly adjusted on set to present this lightweight, floating texture. Honestly, when shooting this kind of specific style, the biggest challenge lies in how to capture dynamic vitality from static movements—making it look like a figure while still bearing the character's breath of life. Ultimately, through the coordination of lenses from different angles, the shifts in the character's expression were integrated into these few frozen moments. This kind of shoot, which requires balancing both props and body posture, often allows one to immerse more deeply into the process of cosplay for an exquisite Anime-style portrait.
