This styling restores the relevant style of Tashkent in Azur Lane, using a black dress as the base, combined with a white lace-edged hair accessory and a neck collar. The most eye-catching part is the large area of the white plush shawl, which has soft fur and a sense of weight, while the bright black stockings and patent leather high heels form the visual center of gravity for the lower half of the look, perfectly proving that saying in the community, "bright black is a great civilization." The shooting set is configured with plenty of vintage elements, such as the deep red velvet curtains in the background, thick and lustrous, which work together with the leather riveted sofa chair to construct an intense dark-toned atmosphere. A pre-set black-and-white international chessboard is also placed in the scene, along with several heavy hardcover books and a transparent tall glass. Paired with a large number of red roses scattered around, the entire space presents a gorgeous, classical, and slightly mysterious Vintage Gothic style aura.
In terms of makeup and hair styling, the light purple long straight wig underwent multi-layered styling to keep the strands naturally fluffy. The makeup features a clean, slender eyeliner paired with low-saturation lip color, hoping to match the elegance and cool serenity of this look. During the shoot, I tried to simulate the character's state of thinking before a chess game—holding the glass in front of me with a slight turn of my body, or leaning against the sofa armrest with a vacant gaze. The choices of movements were kept as relaxed as possible to avoid looking stiff due to the intricate clothing. This set of images used a DSLR camera with direct flash; the color temperature under the dark red light is on the warmer side, beautifully complementing the skin tone and costume texture. The white plush shows an obvious contrast under the flash, yielding a very strong texture.
Personally, when shooting, I care more about the immersion brought by prop interactions, such as the position of the glass and the arrangement of chess pieces. These details determine whether the photos truly have a "narrative quality" rather than being just a simple set of pictures. Many people ask if this kind of makeup and wig would be hard to manage during an indoor shoot; in fact, as long as the hairstyle is well-fixed and the live fill light is reasonable, the resulting effect naturally carries a premium feel. Especially the combination of black stockings and high heels not only gives the entire look a very clean finish but also enhances the sense of visual extension. Being able to restore another facet of this character in this vintage setting was a highly comfortable experience in Anime-style photography.
