The TFP shoot for Jinling Convention Day 1 and Day 2 is finally set. For D1, I plan to do Vill-V cosplay, and for D2, Herrscher of Thunder cosplay. Since V2V has no props, D1 will rely primarily on costume details, stylized Stockings, and expressive posing to carry the shots. This steampunk-styled Vill-V outfit has an overwhelming number of intricate details—especially the gears on the top hat, the belts, leather corset, and patterned Stockings—taking quite a bit of time to wear and adjust. For D2, my Herrscher of Thunder cosplay will feature a sword and a folding fan; the prop weight is manageable, ensuring smooth coordination for sword-slashing motions. The purple-and-gold palette of this Herrscher of Thunder outfit looks remarkably luxurious, though the skirt train and cape require careful angle management during shooting to avoid wrinkling or dragging on the floor.
Recently, I've been organizing the accessories and garments for both cosplays, and restyling the wigs. Vill-V's wig needs fluffy, sculpted layers, while the long hair for the Herrscher of Thunder cosplay must be combed silky-smooth to align with headpiece placement. Regarding post-shoot edits, facial retouching can be left entirely to me; I am very familiar with retouching my own face, ensuring authentic texture and personal character without looking cookie-cutter. If you plan to post photos to platforms later—such as Weibo, Xiaohongshu, or Bcy—please notify me in advance so we can mutually respect each other's posting schedule. Additionally, I respectfully decline non-ACG photographers and profiles without portfolio examples. I hope to collaborate with photographers who are familiar with ACG culture or have convention cosplay experience, as communication will be vastly more efficient—experienced photographers grasp camera angles, pose direction, and lighting much faster to capture character essence.
To me, shooting Convention photos is not merely a record, but an artistic recreation and expression of the character. For Day 1's Vill-V cosplay, having no props means I will focus more on emotive eye contact and dynamic body language; for Day 2's Herrscher of Thunder cosplay, having the sword and folding fan allows for sweeping sword swings and turn-around poses that deliver dramatic visual tension under proper lighting. Convention hall shooting heavily tests on-the-spot improvisation, especially given the convention's complex lighting, demanding strong light mastery from the photographer. Vill-V's outfit leans toward an earthy brown palette, making it well-suited for moody or vintage tones, whereas the Herrscher of Thunder's purple-and-gold scheme reflects light brilliantly, perfect for high-contrast frames. I will also do homework on poses in advance to maximize great output within our limited shoot time. Specific times and meet-up spots can be discussed via DM; I truly hope to capture stunning Convention photos.
