The convention photos from Fuzhou Dimension Gate anime convention on October 19, 2024, are now organized! For this set of Robin photos, we chose to shoot inside the hall, where the ceiling structure and natural ambient light allowed the blue fabric and metal accessories of the Cosplay outfit to show great texture.

Let me focus on setting up the costume, makeup, and props this time. The blue wig was colored very evenly, with the bangs styled as close to the original design's layered look as possible. Paired with the halo floral ornament atop the head and gradient feathers beside the ears, it maintained a light visual feel. Regarding the costume, the main white-and-blue spliced skirt used a fabric with a subtle sheen, and the dark star patterns on the chest showed delicate reflections under side light. The golden badge structure at the waist was fairly complex, requiring separate cutting and positioning. The gloves featured a trimmed design with a white-to-light-purple gradient, combined with pearl strand ornaments—these detail treatments were kept as neat and fitting as possible. The staff in hand took some real effort during transit; the top expanding wing structure needed to be secured firmly, and metallic parts were polished for highlights. Fortunately, no major damage occurred during transport.

The photographer's snapshot speed on that day was very fast. We tried various standing angles and poses, such as lifting one foot off the ground, raising the staff toward the sky, and close-ups resting both hands gently against cheeks. The hall floor had good reflectivity, creating a color resonance between the shoes and the golden components at the base of the staff. Although the lighting on set was somewhat complex, the equipment's rendering capability revealed the fabric texture of the outfit very clearly, which I was extremely satisfied with.

Foot traffic at the convention was quite heavy. Although activity in the background was blurred into bokeh, it preserved the lively yet orderly atmosphere typical of an anime convention. I met quite a few fellow fans on site who recognized the character, and we briefly exchanged thoughts on costume crafting—a tactile experience unique to offline events. When doing Roleplay for Robin, balancing this light yet eye-catching aura requires careful control: poses cannot be too stiff, nor overly exaggerated. Luckily, having the staff in hand provided a support point to attempt larger frozen poses, such as standing on one leg.

Before releasing official photos every time, there are always many concerns—such as whether the wig easily gets messy while walking around, or if the costume tailoring restricts arm movements. But the moment I see the final photos, I feel that all the preparation was worth it. Convention photos differ from studio shoots in that they test one's grasp of live lighting and the neatness of makeup and styling in a real-world setting. I am thrilled to have had great synergy with photographer Che this time, and I'd like to thank NKMAXCON for functional equipment support and Ciyuan Xiaoyi for costume support, helping the work achieve excellent results in texture and completeness.

This Robin Cosplay outfit features a very bright blue and white color scheme, forming a harmonious cool-toned combination against the gray steel-structure venue background. Although the convention was noisy, during those few seconds focused in front of the lens, I still felt briefly immersed in the state of the character I was portraying. If given the opportunity in the future, I'd also love to try combining narrative-driven shooting styles based on this character setting to explore more possibilities in facial expressions.
