[Yixuan cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero at CICF Expo: The Impeccable Texture of Master Yixuan's Outfit

To get right to the point, appearing at the CICF Expo in Master Yixuan's styling proved to be much more demanding in terms of aura control than expected the moment I faced the lens. The core of this Zenless Zone Zero character is a calm, commanding, and coolly aloof temperament; therefore, I exercised significant restraint in both expression and body language, striving to imbue captured moments with her decisive, sharp undertone.

Regarding costume choices, this high-gloss black leather jacket is the true soul of the entire look. The white accents along the lapels and the blue floral emblem at the neckline soften the tough edge of the leather, adding an air of elegance to the sharp aesthetic. On the lower half, the white miniskirt paired with Stockings creates an exceptional contrast in material and color against the black top, delivering an impeccable rendering of texture under high-contrast nighttime lighting. Furthermore, the black-and-white color-blocked cape adorned with delicate silver trim seen in the second photo undeniably elevates the character's commanding presence when walking.

The handheld illuminated prop serves as the primary visual anchor of this outfit. It plays a crucial role in nighttime Cosplay photography, where the orange-amber flame glow forms a striking warm-cool contrast against the deep blue night sky, focusing visual attention sharply on the character. To emphasize body proportions and commanding aura during the shoot, the photographer decisively chose an ultra-low upward angle. Using the deep blue night sky as a backdrop, combined with powerful strobes and light-trailing shutter drag effects, we successfully crafted a magical and visually striking atmosphere.

In reality, finding a completely clean outdoor background without wandering passersby at a massive convention like CICF Expo is quite a feat. We deliberately avoided peak crowd hours inside the venue and chose the exterior stairs outside the exhibition hall. The lighting environment here was far more suitable for crafting a dramatic night aesthetic, while the low-angle perspective perfectly bypassed the cluttered crowds below, keeping the frame clean and pure.

Posing in this full gear with black high heels on outdoor stairs was genuinely demanding on physical coordination. The stairs had varying step heights, requiring constant vigilance to avoid twisting an ankle or missing a step. Moreover, wearing tight-fitting leather outdoors quickly leads to noticeable stuffiness with even slight movement; however, to maintain the character's unruffled composure, maintaining an upright, poised posture before the lens was essential throughout.

Through this photoshoot, I gained a much deeper and multi-dimensional understanding of Yixuan. Cosplay is not merely about replicating garments, but weaving that effortless, unhurried mastery into every subtle movement. Each shoot in a distinct environment serves to refresh one's perception of a character's tone. Although this shoot at CICF Expo posed small physical and environmental challenges outdoors, the resulting texture made every effort worthwhile, accumulating valuable experience for future character portrayals.
