[Cheshire Cosplay] The Joy of Capturing the 2025 Azur Lane Port Summer Festival Qipao

For this year's Port Summer Festival, I went all out to present the complete Cheshire Qipao ensemble—purely dedicated to bringing my absolute favorite skin to life, and the whole on-site experience was pure joy.

The tailored details of this deep navy blue Qipao resonated with me deeply. The deep V-neckline combined with halter-style golden tassels seamlessly bridges classical charm with the character's signature playfulness and elegance. Removing the outer coat reveals the garment's tactile quality: while not a reflective satin, the fabric features delicate jacquard patterns that catch the bright daylight from the venue's floor-to-ceiling windows with a gorgeous sheen. My favorite element is the heavy black plush shawl coat. Even though wearing it indoors during midsummer was quite warm, the visual payoff made every bit of heat worth it. The moment I slipped on the coat, the character's commanding aura flared to life, instantly projecting opulent luxury and regal charm.

The wig was crafted on a silver-gray base accented by striking cyan-blue highlights. The bangs were neatly cut and thick, with side locks perfectly framing the face. The makeup was coordinated with the eye styling and contact lenses, mirroring the hair tones to create a delicate, doll-like anime aesthetic. To complement this vibe, the wide-brimmed hat incorporated mesh veil, blue blossoms, and satin ribbons, resonating with the character lore.

The styling of the lower half was another core highlight. The high-slit skirt design flattered body lines, while the black safety shorts underneath provided total security. Black lace garter straps paired with semi-sheer white stockings in this Stockings cosplay, grounded by chunky black high heels, provided visual elongation. During the shoot, the photographer guided me through diverse stances; the single-leg lift in the third photo, with the coat held open, showcased both the plunging neckline and the intricate hosiery details in a single frame, exuding effortless confidence and agility. Bringing along the yellow bird plushie served as the perfect finishing touch, adding lively sweetness to the shot.

The venue lighting was phenomenal. Expansive glass windows ushered in abundant natural daylight, which, paired with the reflective tiled floor, gave the Convention photos an airy translucence. The photographer balanced wide-angle storytelling with fine fabric close-ups. Although navigating the floor in this heavy ensemble was physically demanding, meeting fellow enthusiasts, soaking in the electric atmosphere, and sharing photos and conversations made every effort worthwhile. This Azur Lane Cheshire Cosplay experience was unforgettable, and I can't wait to return to the festival next year!
