The theme for this shoot was designed around a two-faced bunny girl: the first set captured a cool, tipsy haze, while the second leaned into gaming-table allure, with the entire series utilizing moody warm lighting to sculpt atmosphere.
For attire, I chose a black high-shine strapless jumpsuit. This patent leather or vinyl material delivers an intense reflective sheen on camera that cleanly carves out body contours; however, because it lacks breathability, wearing time had to be managed strictly in intervals. It was styled with a classic white shirt collar, black bow tie, and white French cuffs, creating a striking black-and-white contrast in the dim setting. For the lower half, black fishnet stockings were chosen; the diamond mesh not only enriched surface texture, but visually elongated the legs. The headpiece featured essential black bunny ears, paired with a black twintails wig accented with pink highlights to inject a dash of playful wit.
The first set was captured in a quiet bar photoshoot setting. The ambient lighting was dim, illuminated solely by the counter and overhead vintage pendant lamps. Sitting on a black storage crate with a stemmed glass filled with amber liquid, I chased a languid, tipsy state of mind. Low-light setups demand extreme precision in shooting angles and facial fill light. I kept my jawline taut and cast my gaze toward the oblique profile, letting the beams sculpt facial contours. Under the amber glow, the glossy fabric cast uneven gleams, creating an evocative tactile texture.
The second set transitioned into a casino photo shoot aesthetic. The backdrop featured crimson velvet drapes, while the tabletop was covered in green baize scattered with prop banknotes and poker chips, yielding richer environmental colors. Here, I sat cross-legged on the table, holding cash in my left hand and a black high heel in my right, adopting a far looser, more extroverted posture. Testing various shoe-holding angles, I found that dangling the stiletto by the heel while lifting my chin conveyed the sharpest visual drama. The fishnet stockings were fully showcased in this seated stance, which, alongside the surrounding props, radiated commanding presence.
While moody warm lighting photographs gorgeously, it easily magnifies garment flaws. Throughout the shoot, I continually wiped the vinyl bunny girl surface with tissues to eliminate reflective fingerprints and dust. Transitioning between the two scenes—from a quiet speakeasy to an opulent gaming floor—demanded rapid emotional shifts: holding the cocktail glass required detached cool, while gripping the chips demanded vibrant heat, challenging my character interpretation.
Special thanks to the Zhiyingfang Studio photo event organizers; the gaffer's control over low-key lighting was exceptionally precise, allowing me to execute this dual-style shoot with maximum efficiency. From the costume textures to the scenic transitions, every detail aligned with our original creative vision.
