This styling for Jeanne d'Arc (Alter) cosplay in a Bunny girl cosplay design took about a month from selecting fabrics and pattern drafting to finally wearing it. The dark purple leather corset was exceptionally demanding in tailoring—too tight and it leaves you gasping for air, too loose and it fails to showcase those crisp, clean lines. To pursue that rigid, upright structure, stiff interfacing boning was added inside. The metal chain around my neck is solid metal, heavy to hold and clanking with every step; this authentic metallic clattering sound instantly immersed me into character.

The wig was a massive undertaking. The black forehead guard was sculpted by hand, adjusted repeatedly five or six times to fit my head circumference before finally setting. That long light-blonde hair might look effortless, but managing it was truly arduous. To create the tension of hair billowing in all directions before the lens, I used ample texturizing volume powder and setting spray, while adding lift at the roots. Adding that pair of tall, upright metallic rabbit ears, the total weight on my head was substantial, truly testing my neck strength.

For makeup, I chose deep reddish-brown contact lenses paired with upturned cat-eye eyeliner, focusing on bringing out the character's signature arrogance and sharpness. The lipstick was selected in deep crimson, echoing the purple bow visually. Although incorporating the sensuality of a Bunny girl cosplay, I minimized sweet cuteness in facial expressions, slightly tilting my chin with a gaze tinged with contempt and chill—which is the true soul of this character.

The lighting in the exhibition hall was extremely complex on the day of the shoot, with dense overhead spotlights easily casting cluttered shadows across the face. After extensive discussions with the photographer, we decided to use side-backlighting to outline body contours while using a reflector for facial fill light. That single-leg balance pose in photo one was extraordinarily difficult to shoot. Balancing on ten-centimeter stilettos, laced into a tight corset, and holding that heavy black-and-red greatsword with one hand made finding my center of gravity exceedingly tough. To make the pose appear effortless, I had to keep my core tight throughout, extending my back leg firmly backward, slightly bending the front knee, and extending my other arm outward for balance. My legs were actually trembling on set, but the moment the shutter pressed, a flawless expression had to be held.

To prevent monotonous visuals, we intentionally used a small fan blowing at the hair tips, capturing dozens of shots to get the perfect billowing arc. The dark tights showed a subtle sheen under the lighting, and paired with high heels, visually maximized Long legs in black stockings. The cross greatsword was made of EVA foam embedded with a PVC pipe; while imposing, swinging it took serious physical effort, especially when holding freeze-frame poses, which easily strained the arms.

The convention was packed with crowds, and this look attracted many fellow fans for photos. Many friends showed great interest in the metal chains and those distinct rabbit ears, making the exchange of prop-making tips thoroughly enjoyable. The photographer's post-processing color grading intentionally darkened the background, intensifying the intertwined atmosphere of dark gothic fantasy. From preparation to final images, every step of this set was full of challenges, but I truly savored the journey of bringing an anime character to life through Anime cosplay.
