[Sparxie cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail Sweet Dream Radio Wave Part 2

This time I'm cosplaying Sparxie from Honkai: Star Rail, with the theme of Sweet Dream Radio Wave Part 2. The preparation and shooting process of this photoset was very interesting, featuring a primary visual style that blends sweet and cool urban cyberpunk, and a lot of homework was done in clothing coordination and scene selection.

Let's start with the makeup and styling details. The wig is chosen as light pinkish-white long twintails; to maintain fluffiness, quite a bit of styling product was used, and black bow ribbon hair accessories were added to both sides of the top of the head. The core of the makeup lies in the eye makeup, wearing red-toned contact lenses paired with quite heavy red eyeshadow and eyeliner. To restore the character's traits, a small red mark was drawn on the cheek with an eyeliner pen, and the lip makeup was chosen as vibrant bright red. The overall result matches that cunning yet cool temperament very well.

In terms of clothing, the upper body is a black off-the-shoulder long-sleeve top with the front zipper unzipped to reveal the inner wear, and the black leather straps and metal buckles on the shoulders add a strong techwear feel. The lower body is paired with a red-and-black plaid pleated skirt, and the asymmetrical leg design is a highlight: one side features white knee-high socks while the other features black fishnet stockings, paired with calf straps and black platform shoes, making it extremely eye-catching. To enrich the frame, a few brown plush bears were hung on the arms and waist, with playing cards and lollipops held in hand, and a black leather choker and necklace worn around the neck. These small props helped a lot during the shoot, not only filling the blank spaces of the frame but also giving my hands a natural placement while posing.

The shooting locations mainly focused on two spots: a pool table and a pink claw machine. On the pool table, the blue tabletop formed a great color collision with the red and green billiard balls, and the wooden shelf and neon sign in the background fit the theme very well. I sat cross-legged on the pool table or sat sideways holding playing cards, trying to keep the actions as casual as possible. Meanwhile, the shots sitting inside the claw machine are a part I personally really like. The space inside the claw machine itself is very narrow, and the metal claw and pink lighting inside create a psychedelic atmosphere. To adapt to this space, I needed to bend my legs or let them drop naturally, and this posture happens to showcase the contrast between the fishnet stockings and white knee-high socks wonderfully, bringing strong visual impact.

Neon lighting is an important element of this photoset, with pink and purple lights hitting the skin and clothes to create alternating warm and cool contour lighting. During the shoot, the photographer and I kept communicating on how to utilize these ambient lights, especially letting the light pierce through the pink sunglasses to form a translucent feel. Although the whole process required constantly adjusting sitting postures and clothing details, shooting efficiency was quite good since the overall styling fit the character well. This set of photos records this cross-dimensional cosplay attempt; from makeup to props, and clothing to scenes, every detail was meant to make the character more three-dimensional, and the final effect is satisfying.
