[Shimoe Koharu Cosplay] Blue Archive, Lazy Loungewear Cosplay Style Against a Pink Background

In this indoor photography studio, with a Pink background as the base, I took a set of images with a lazy loungewear theme using a landscape composition. To fit the feeling of "enjoying deliciousness in landscape orientation," I chose to arrange the venue like a warm and soft bedroom. A large area of white plush blankets combined with stacked pillows provides a fully relaxing visual experience.

The character I cosplayed this time is Shimoe Koharu from Blue Archive. To get as close to the character as possible, targeted adjustments were made from the wig to the props. The pink, long double-tailed wig with blunt bangs has evenly distributed hair volume, and the front hair leaves space to frame the face shape. The makeup takes a clear route, paired with light-colored contact lenses to magnify the agility of the gaze. The signature pink halo decoration on top of the head used extremely fine wire for the internal bracket, hidden and fixed inside the wig, so it won't easily tilt even with larger movements. The adjacent black plush ear accessories are attached with black feathers, offering rich layering. The red string around the neck is adorned with a tiny bell, looking very exquisite against the black top. The top features a loose, drop-shoulder large sleeve design with bright pink patchwork at the cuffs, which, along with the matching shorts in the same color scheme, harmoniously blends the three main colors of black, white, and pink together.

In the scene, I prepared two representative doll props: one is a black plush toy that closely matches the character's style, whose large-eye design has a massive cute point—holding it or leaning next to it is highly photogenic; the other is an identical mini figure of the character, which I placed at the corner of the bed as a detail for the background, increasing the narrative feel of the image. For movements, I specially chose prone, sitting, and side-leaning postures, leaving space to showcase the white slouch socks and barefoot elements, perfectly matching the character's lively yet slightly dazed trait.

The studio lighting was cast by a softbox, combined with the heart-shaped light and shadow on the background, making the color tone of the entire set of photos look clean and dreamy. During the snapshot process, it was necessary to constantly adjust the layering of the hair and the position of the bell to avoid them pressing against the clothing lines. The loose drop-shoulder top happens to expose one side of the shoulder, which, combined with the direction of the arms and wrists, brings out a bit of effortless playfulness.

Combining usual practice with this understanding of the character makes the photos present an anime style while allowing people to feel another side of the character's life. This process itself is very interesting and can be considered a dedicated assignment turned in.

During shooting, the fixation and direction of the wig are keys to the quality of the finished photos. I would constantly adjust the placement of the twin-tails based on the lens angle to ensure that the hair strands would not block the lines of the halo. The drape of the clothes is also a focus specially emphasized in this frame; the smooth texture of the fabric itself forms a good visual echo with the bright pink cuffs. In controlling the camera light ratio, the high softbox combines moderately with the pink lighting of the background, making the light-to-dark transition on the character's face extremely natural. In movement details, I deliberately let the legs stay in a relaxed and slightly bent state; the white slouch socks can form natural folds at the knees and calves, which is also a very important part of creating a comfortable feel. The pink target-like decoration above the hair accessory had its curvature specifically adjusted with tiny metal wires, allowing it to fit firmly right in the center of the crown, avoiding any clipping or wardrobe leaks due to shaking. In prop interaction, when the black plush toy is held in my arms, the body language of the entire person appears relatively casual and natural, which is why I love this kind of setting. In terms of composition, leaving the pink heart projection behind in the blank area above the character's shoulders preserves the wrapping sense of the environment's halo while avoiding visual conflict with the character's own accessories.

Through this share, I hope to convey that unique playfulness and everyday routine of the character Shimoe Koharu to those who see it through lens colors and static images.
