This photo set was candidly captured inside a makeshift studio booth at the convention; it was my first time wearing this outfit for an Event photo delivery shoot. Balancing the cat-ear headband with the illuminated geometric halo ornament atop my head was quite a test of center of gravity—tilting my head even slightly would cause it to tip backward. The wig reached down to my thighs, and with the twintail design, it easily tangled while walking, requiring me to comb through the ends every time I moved to a new shooting spot. The glossy black fabric of the modified cheongsam caught reflections under strong lights, while the crisp white edging along the collar and cuffs, paired with the neon-green ribbon bow across the chest, created high contrast under the cool-toned lights, yielding remarkably clean shots. On my legs, I wore over-the-knee white stockings that formed a unified visual layer with the black shoes and the white trims of the cheongsam, perfectly completing this White tights cosplay aesthetic.
The skewer of candied hawthorns in hand was suggested by the photographer—originally intended just as a color accent, its bright orange hue unexpectedly popped against the cool-toned backdrop. To accommodate different angles, I tried one hand on my hip, pointing the hawthorns toward the lens, sitting on a metal stool, and kneeling on the carpet with clenched fists. The stool sequence required carefully arranging the side slit of the skirt to balance the sleek silhouette of the white stockings while keeping my upper body upright to prevent unwanted creases, taking several tries to find the most natural posture. The lighting on-site was complex, with other photoshoots happening in the background; the photographer tested multiple angles to bypass the crowd, using the key light to highlight facial features and garment textures, accented by cool ambient light to enhance the atmosphere.
Working through all the poses, my biggest takeaway was that while the garment is well-tailored, movements like raising arms or turning had to be strictly controlled—too broad a motion would pull the collar and waistline out of place. For expression management, I didn't force excessive cuteness; instead, I simply interacted with the prop naturally, maintaining engaging eye contact with the camera.
