The concept behind this dress version Sorasaki Hina shoot was to move away from her usual strict and tough impression in the Prefect Team. In front of the grand piano, music is used to showcase her rarely-seen soft side. The entire shoot focuses on creating a sense of atmosphere and presenting the texture of the costume.

As for the costume: This purple skirt outfit features a purple velvet dress that reveals detailed changes in luster under the lights, and when paired with long gloves, the overall lines are highly smooth. To ensure character accuracy, the makeup is clean and sharp, and the silver-white wig is styled to be smooth and full of layers. The black hair accessory on top and the halo prop, though added in post-production, required ample space to be reserved during composition.

As for the piano scene: When communicating with photographer @dj-jun, we decided to choose a venue next to a grand piano with rich variations in light and shadow for this piano photoshoot. We used purple and magenta ambient lights to illuminate the character's silhouette from the side and rear, while utilizing local light from the piano keyboard area to brighten the face. In this way, against the deep background, the visual center of gravity securely falls on the character. The sheet music used as an ornament, along with the origami crane, serves as a visual balance point in the frame and makes the scene more substantial.

Shooting process and reflections: This formal dress cosplay with a large skirt hem was indeed a bit inconvenient during the shoot, requiring careful movement. However, after sitting on the piano stool or leaning against the keys, the shape of the spreading skirt hem was incredibly beautiful, adding a sense of gorgeousness to the frame. To fit the setting of "Sensei, please listen carefully to my performance," it required not only striking a playing pose but also expressing a focused yet inviting gaze. The wide-angle high-angle shot was actually quite a test of composition, utilizing the massive pattern lines on the floor and the rendering of the purple light to present a strong sense of visual depth. This approach to shooting gives the cosplay a texture akin to an art poster. The meaning of cosplay is not just to recreate a character, but to capture the unique aura of the character at a certain moment through clothing, light, shadow, and scenes. I am highly satisfied with the final photos and hope everyone can feel this concert in a purple atmosphere.
