[Shimoe Koharu cosplay] An afternoon spent daydreaming with Koharu

Today's outfit is Shimoe Koharu cosplay from Blue Archive. As soon as I got the clothes and props, I immediately scheduled the photoshoot. The pink twin-tails styling of the wig needs to be combed to be relatively fluffy, not too close to the scalp, and the bangs should also maintain a feeling that slightly blocks the eyes yet carries a bit of innocence. The pink halo prop on top of the head was fixed with wire for a long time; it easily tilts with a slight movement, so the angle had to be repeatedly adjusted during the shoot, but this is also considered a routine operation in cosplay styling. The black feather hair accessory and the small wings on the back added some dark elements to the overall look, forming a certain visual contrast with the white shirt.
For the clothing part, I chose an oversized white long-sleeve shirt. Because I wanted to restore that homey and lazy feeling, I adopted a half-dropped way of wearing it. To be honest, this way of wearing heavily tests the shoulder and neck lines; a slight lack of attention can easily make it look sloppy, so before shooting, the positions of the neckline and shoulders needed to be repeatedly adjusted to ensure that the collarbones and shoulder lines could be exposed without slipping off too much. The black choker on the neck and the pink straps on the legs are the finishing touches, especially the pink leg ring, which, paired with white short socks, can visually flatter the leg lines very well. To show a better state in front of the lens, I also specially stretched my legs to avoid making the muscles look too tight.
The shooting location was chosen as an indoor room with window blinds. The afternoon natural light filtered through the blinds, making the light very soft. This kind of light is very suitable for showing the texture of the skin, but at the same time, it is easy to overexpose the white shirt, so the photographer lowered the exposure compensation on the camera to preserve the detail texture of the clothes as much as possible. Posing while sitting is actually very difficult; it shouldn't be too stiff, yet it needs to look natural and relaxed. I tried a few different poses, such as resting my chin on my hands while daydreaming, or touching my neck with one hand while looking at the lens. Sometimes, to make the legs look longer, the body would lean forward slightly, using the edge of the sofa as a supporting point. When holding that book, the emotions naturally settled down, lowering my gaze to express that slightly shy state of wanting someone's company.
When shaping Shimoe Koharu's tsundere girlish heart, I kept looking for that hesitant feeling of having more to say. The caption written in the post, "Can you stay and accompany Koharu a bit more?", is actually a portrayal of my inner monologue during the shoot. She is not the kind of girl who directly expresses her emotions; instead, she carries a bit of awkwardness and bravado, yet when daydreaming alone, she especially craves someone to be by her side. Therefore, in handling the gaze, I tried to make my eyes look soft and slightly expectant, without too much strong aggressiveness. The whole shooting process was very pleasant. Although fixing props and adjusting poses took a lot of time, after seeing the finished photos, I felt it was all worth it.
