This Kyoyama Kazusa cosplay styling from Blue Archive was actually part of my New Year plan. Choosing to release this photo set at such a milestone was meant to blend anime elements into real-world holiday celebrations.

The core of the costume is this black sporty hooded jacket, with two white stripes on the sleeves serving as a classic signature, paired with a white skirt featuring green stripes and opaque Black stockings. Overall, it perfectly captures the capable yet casual vibe of a sporty girl. The cat ears and light pink halo overhead add a touch of playfulness, while the pink highlights in the black hair echo the color of the inner cat ears. The small white triangular hair clip, though subtle, adds an extra touch of delicate detail.

For prop preparation, the pink-and-white polka-dot gift box tied with a matching ribbon, alongside the cream cake drizzled with jam and garnished with blueberries, corresponds perfectly to that "Happy New Year" greeting. Using food and gifts as interactive props made posing feel much more natural—for example, the moment of biting down on a fork not only added storytelling depth to the frame, but also broke away from the overly rigid tempo typical of studio shoots.

Regarding facial expressions, the caption "Are you laughing?? Stop laughing!!" fits the character's signature tsundere yet slightly oblivious personality in the lore very well. During the shoot, capturing that fierce yet flustered nuance took quite a few shutter clicks, and the final selections capture her temperament faithfully according to my understanding of the character. Photographer Teacher Hongbai also communicated closely with me throughout to enhance this gap-moe contrast through camera angles.

The advantage of a pure white studio background is that it maximizes the subject's colors and silhouette without interference from excessive ambient light, allowing viewers to focus entirely on styling nuances and emotional delivery. The folds of the jacket and the texture of the Black stockings stand out with exceptional clarity under this lighting setup. From selecting the character to completing the shoot and organizing post-processing, though not overly grueling, it required significant dedication. I hope the stubborn, spirited energy captured through the lens brings a moment of resonance to everyone who scrolls past this Casual cosplay post.
