This Tendou Arisu cosplay photo set was completed on-site at an anime convention. The overall styling faithfully recreates her classic character art from Blue Archive, featuring a white shirt paired with a dark blue pinafore dress, and a double-layered ruffled hem that adds a fluffy silhouette. The glowing cyan halo above the head is the key prop determining the character's signature recognition, so I handcrafted it using acrylic and battery-powered LED strips, hiding the power wires as best as possible. Although it had some weight, the on-camera effect at the con noticeably elevated the completeness of the entire look. For the wig, I chose long, straight dark blue hair styled with side braids and light blue ribbons to match her 2D anime cosplay features as closely as possible. To complement the bright makeup, I wore light blue contact lenses, emphasizing the details of the eye makeup.

The foot traffic on the day of the convention was quite heavy and the ambient lighting was chaotic, so we tried candid snapshots from various angles and poses. Gestures like saluting with a raised hand or poking a cheek in profile were all aimed at showcasing her lively, innocent personality. The white frilly ankle socks and black buckle leather shoes on my feet were also styled according to the original design, creating a very clean, crisp palette overall. Even though the venue lighting presented some challenges, using hard flash fill-light ended up highlighting the subject beautifully, cleanly capturing the wig texture, clothing fabric, and the glowing halo effect.

The entire experience was quite delightful. My photographer friend was very patient in finding angles amid the crowd. Walking all day in this getup certainly wasn't easy—the waist clasps and tiered skirts added physical resistance—but participating in offline events and sharing love for the character is rewarding and full of connection. These convention photos serve as a modest record of this con; the overall style was kept natural without excessive post-processing.
