After the character styling design for Wuthering Waves Hsin was finalized, I booked an indoor studio for this Hsin cosplay session. The wig features silver-white long straight hair, complemented by a pair of massive, custom-made white plush animal ears to balance head proportions, topped with a golden tassel crown and forehead ornament that instantly establish a fox-inspired aura for this Fox girl.

I made numerous adjustments to the makeup. To capture Hsin’s enchanting allure, the eye makeup utilizes expansive red shading with winged, upturned outer corners, accented by a red mark right in the center of the forehead. The base makeup was kept fair and clean, pairing with red eyeshadow and lipstick to create a striking contrast between icy detachment and captivating charm on camera. It translated exceptionally well on screen, especially in close-ups where the striking red makeup amplified the fierce intensity in my gaze through Anime-style photography.

The costume details truly test handicraft skills. This is a tube-top dress primarily styled in black and red, featuring a sapphire and red tassel lacing embedded dead-center in the bodice, cascading down with rich layering. The outer layer is spliced with pale blue translucent sheer wide sleeves and red sleeves, paired with independent black arm sleeves to add a touch of uniform structure. The skirt boasts an irregular high-slit design that reveals leg lines during movement, complemented by golden waist chains and leaf accessories for maximum detail immersion. The massive gray-white plush tail behind me carries considerable weight; during shooting, whether sitting on the ground or posing sideways, the tail's placement had to be meticulously pinned and secured to avoid looking cluttered.

For the set, the indoor space was decorated with red plum blossom branches, oil-paper umbrellas, and a wooden moon gate. The photographer invested immense care into the lighting: under a moody low-key environment, warm key lights illuminated the face, sparking a powerful visual clash between the red fabrics and blossoms. I tried sitting cross-legged on the floor holding an oil-paper umbrella, as well as kneeling while gently touching the gemstone on my chest. Thanks to the slit-skirt design, these seated and kneeling postures not only showcased the full attire but also naturally emphasized leg lines, which, combined with the plush texture of the tail, yielded an exceptionally high success rate for final deliverables in this Ancient style cosplay.

As for props, sprigs of red plum and a pipa lute added subtle embellishments that heavily saturated the traditional Chinese aesthetic atmosphere. This Hsin styling balances ethereal grace while retaining the characteristic sensuality and agility of a fox spirit. Though the physical weight of the tail and heavy wig made the shoot quite taxing, seeing the final results made all the meticulous preparation deeply worthwhile.
