The goal of this shoot was to highly restore that highly atmospheric 2D illustration. As a mechanical doll in Genshin Impact, the cold yet precise Mechanical aesthetics of Sandrone has always been a style I love. To pursue ultimate fidelity, I strictly referenced the pose in image 2 for my movements and composition, striving for high consistency with the mechanical style of the original art in the lighting treatment. During the shooting, the texture of the costume is crucial. The costume details provided by @Manga Boutique this time were very on point, effectively supporting the character's identity and allowing this "Mechanical aesthetics" to be conveyed intuitively through visuals. As the photographer and editor, I paid special attention to the flow of light and shadow in the environment, attempting to create a heavy industrial mechanical feel in the space while retaining the aesthetic colors unique to Anime-style photography, allowing light and shadow to produce subtle reflections on the metallic texture. This creative process is actually a game of fidelity. From the initial selection of costumes to the on-site composition polishing, to the precise color adjustment in post-production, every step is aimed at restoring the most realistic "sense of breath" of that fictional character. I really enjoy this process of transforming from 2D to 3D, and I hope this "legendary" work lets everyone feel the unique mechanical charm of Sandrone, which is the unique texture born from the collision of precision parts and artistic inspiration.
