While organizing my photo albums, I dug up my lawyer profile photo taken in the law firm last November and compared it with my studio Yanfei cosplay photo taken this August, which made me laugh quietly. The hand gestures and body orientation in both photos had an astonishing similarity—it seems 2D DNA is truly etched into my daily behavior. As a civil lawyer, I need to stay professional and rigorous in real life. Black, white, and gray suits along with neat white shirts are standard daily work wear, where that restrained and capable posture naturally emerges from long-term professional training. However, this professional "restraint" seemed to subtly carry over into the 2D realm during the August studio shoot.

On the shooting day in August, the studio set was a classical-style interior space featuring warm yellow wooden lamps, celadon-glazed vases, and artfully arranged faux flowers, creating a rich atmosphere. I changed into this red, black, and white character costume; the plush trim and off-the-shoulder design are rarely encountered in Lawyer daily life, yet putting it on felt surprisingly natural. The makeup artist helped me put on the pink wig and light green contact lenses, making the whole image instantly come alive. The photographer told me to pose freely, and I subconsciously struck a posture that felt natural to me, such as crossing my arms paired with a single-sided guiding gesture. Unexpectedly, when organizing the photos, I realized this pose was virtually identical to my lawyer profile photo shot against a plain gray background last year.

Back when taking the lawyer profile photo, to present professionalism and approachability, I deliberately rolled up my suit cuffs to reveal the blue-and-yellow lining, wearing a light-colored smartwatch on my wrist in a calm, objective style. Moving to this red ancient-style outfit in the studio shoot, although colors and fabrics differed wildly, that inner composure remained unchanged. Thinking carefully afterwards, perhaps it's because Yanfei herself is a legal advisor in Liyue Harbor; she takes her work seriously while maintaining a lively, energetic personality. This magical overlap between a real-life profession and a fictional character gave me a sense of cross-dimensional professional resonance the moment I put on the character gear.

In the early preparation stages of this Genshin Impact cosplay, I spent a lot of time studying and absorbing the character setting—not just purchasing and trying on costumes and props, but also figuring out how to convey that unique aura through the lens. Shooting sessions sometimes last for hours, where slight differences in light angles affect the final result. This mirrors my focus when diving into case files and verifying legal clauses, both requiring patience and attention to detail. When the photographer called out "Great, this expression is spot on," that sense of satisfaction in being recognized felt remarkably similar to the joy of winning a lawsuit.

Posting this update is mainly to record this fun coincidence in life. Many people hold stereotypes about the lawyer profession, thinking we can only be stern and rigid. In truth, we also have rich, diverse hobbies and authentic, vibrant attitudes toward life outside of work. On weekdays, I am the lawyer arguing cases in court and reviewing contracts in the office, applying expertise and rationality to help clients. On weekends or holidays, I set aside these professional burdens, walk into the studio, and become a completely different version of myself. I don't see a contradiction here; rather, it helps me handle high-intensity workplace pressure better.

Being able to switch between both identities is thanks to the understanding and support of my colleagues and friends. Sometimes when working late at the law firm, exhausted beyond measure, I tell myself that once this case wraps up or this busy stretch passes, I can try another beloved character and play with a new style. This small thought becomes a spiritual anchor in my work. Whether defending a client's rights in real life or interpreting a character in a studio through Cosplay photography, I believe both are different ways of defining and expressing "beauty." This attitude of taking both work and hobbies seriously is the true color of my life.
