Venue lighting at Jiangmen Jieyuan Comic Exhibition was definitely a test for the photographer's skill. To capture this Denia cosplay look from Wuthering Waves properly, the photographer and I looped around the exhibition hall several times. The glossy deep blue main dress was prone to hot spots under direct flash light, so we adjusted the aperture and shutter speed multiple times on site to preserve white lining details alongside blue fabric texture.
For makeup, I specially chose translucent base makeup paired with deep blue contact lenses, emphasizing the eye area and under-eye regions with reddish-pink tones to create a dreamy, cool atmosphere. This makeup look, combined with silver-white gradient long hair, cute cat ears, and black star hair accessories, fits Denia's character design perfectly. The wig has a large volume of hair, requiring occasional bang adjustments while walking around the hall to keep vision clear.
What satisfied me most about the costume was actually the large white-based ribbon bow, embedded with a ruby-textured ornament at the center and connected to a gold chain below that effectively elongated the waistline. The open-cut design on the blue leather gloves made grabbing props and forming hand gestures much easier, especially when posing with heart gestures or covering my face—the blue-and-white color blocking on the gloves made hand lines look exceptionally slender.
Then there were the blue high tights, printed with white geometric wave patterns, paired with black-and-gold platform lace-up high heels. Against the hall's cool-toned floor tiles, an overall techwear and fantasy ambiance surged instantly. During shooting, the photographer captured many dynamic poses—such as lifting one leg with arms stretched out in photo five—which perfectly showcased the layered structure of the entire outfit in Cosplay photography.
At a lively event like Jiangmen Jieyuan Comic Exhibition, fans' enthusiasm was extraordinarily high. Although wearing hair accessories and a heavy wig for several hours made my head feel heavy, the photoshoot results and the joy of live interactions made everything thoroughly worthwhile. Most background choices were the hall's escalators and spacious corridors; cold white overhead lighting complemented the blue costume nicely, creating strong light-and-dark contrast that made skin texture and gaze appear remarkably clear.
As a cosplayer who frequently attends conventions, I believe every location shoot or event session serves to accurately restore that side of the character living in players' hearts. From garment pattern stitching to the wearing angle of hair accessories, every meticulous detail reflects in the final shots. The overall experience at this Jiangmen convention was fantastic, and I am very pleased with the resulting photo texture in our Convention photos share. In the future, I will continue challenging different styles and refining light, shadow, and composition even more delicately.
