Wearing this Remielle cosplay costume at the convention, the biggest challenges were undoubtedly the wings on my back and the pair of silver high heels on my feet. The outfit features intricate detailing: the white fitted corset top includes cut-out sections and metal ring buckles, while the blue choker around the neck and the star hairpieces on both sides of the wig required constant fine-tuning to achieve the ideal angle. To complement the airy lightness of the coordinate, I chose white garter thigh-high Stockings paired with glossy metallic silver high heels, which beautifully elongated leg lines before the camera.
The shooting took place inside a massive expo exhibition hall. The background was quite crowded, but the photographer utilized a Sony A7M4 paired with a Tamron 35-100mm lens, making full use of a wide aperture to blur distant attendees into smooth bokeh. Lighting on the convention floor was complex, requiring careful angles to balance overhead circular arena lamps and reflections from the glossy floor. We explored various poses: in the first frame, I lifted one leg while posing with both hands—a posture demanding strong balance while keeping the gradient wings steady without swaying. The second frame focused more on arm extension and eye contact, lightly touching my chin with fingertips to project the character's confident yet enigmatic allure.
Wearing all these accessories was genuinely demanding. The wig grew somewhat frizzy after extended wear and required regular brushing. Standing for hours on stiletto heels made my feet ache, but seeing the satisfying frames made every bit of effort worthwhile. We exchanged lighting and framing techniques with several fellow cosplayers on set, and seeing the faithful pink-and-blue color palette on the camera screen proved all the prep work paid off. The detached sleeve sections were crafted from translucent material, with ruffled trims and gradient feather details fluttering naturally during movement, which also introduced fun kinetic challenges for candid snapshots.
To ensure the wings displayed optimal tension and dimension within the frame, I had to keep my spine fully upright and core firmly engaged before each shutter click, avoiding any visual bulkiness. Because the waist features cut-out panels, I constantly checked to make sure the garments hadn't shifted out of alignment. Even with hall air conditioning running, wearing this layered outfit and synthetic wig left me sweating through the session. Fortunately, the photographer was exceptional at seizing candid moments and actively guided my facial expressions to ensure focused, captivating eye contact.
The entire process felt like a fun, creative adventure; every shutter click stood as the purest record of passion for the character. Completing this work wouldn't have been possible without the prop maker's craftsmanship and the photographer's swift captures. I look forward to exploring even more diverse creative styles next time.
