Right from the outset, the concept for this Studio shoot was explicitly set around a wild jungle style, primarily to embody that organic affinity with nature, agile spirit, and subtle wild touch characteristic of Yao in Honor of Kings. To prevent this from looking like a simple costume showcase, I invested considerable thought into the makeup and fine nuances. For the eye makeup, purple colored contacts were deliberately chosen to mirror the character's hallmark traits, while generous sweeps of red and pink were blended from beneath the eyes across the cheeks, dotted with delicate faux freckles to achieve a vivid, dynamic visual effect on camera. Regarding hair, pink braided plaits paired with white antler-shaped headpieces and plush beast ears served as the visual centerpiece of the entire look.

For the wardrobe, the brown-and-white color palette is timeless; the white tube top layered beneath crossed brown drapery flatteringly sculpted the silhouette. The piece requiring the most dedication was the cape with a white plush collar, alongside the brown leather bracers bound around my wrists, and the crimson waist cord strung with green beads and beast-fang charms. Though intricate, these accessories dramatically elevated the fidelity of the character portrayal on camera. The wooden staff held in hand was prepared specifically for this set, with blue-green leaf accents echoing the color harmonies within the frame.

This Studio shoot staged at the Qimi Huanjing studio featured an exceptionally executed set design. Expansive lush greenery, cascading vines, mossy grounds, and delicate white blossoms flawlessly built a three-dimensional jungle sanctuary. Photographer DEMON's lighting was remarkably refined; I particularly loved how warm rays filtered through the foliage, casting dappled light and shadow across my hair and face, cultivating an organic, breathing rhythm.

Because the setting was a jungle, poses could easily look like casual tourist snapshots without deliberate control. Thus, when posing, I strove to interact organically with the environment. For instance, in the standing pose holding the staff, engaging my core to keep my torso upright while resting the other hand on my hip or cradling my cheek better accentuated the garment's tailoring and waistline. When seated on the ground, I extended my legs outward, using that sense of elongation to enrich the compositional balance. Capturing the ideal gaze often required micro-adjusting facial muscles repeatedly—sustaining an adorable expression without drifting into stiffness. Throughout the session, I continuously explored how to narrate the tale of a jungle sprite through body language, forgoing melodramatic exaggeration to simply present this natural, weightless presence before the lens. With every shutter click documenting these moments, seeing the final outcome made every bit of preparation and effort thoroughly worthwhile in this cosplay.
