【Entelechia cosplay】Arknights: Surtr & Entelechia Duo Dark Gothic style - Image 1

Based on the Arknights setting "Until the Earth Turns into a Lime," this duo cosplay set of Entelechia cosplay and Surtr cosplay utilizes dark red drapes and an enormous golden picture frame to construct an eerie sense of fatalism.

The most central element of the composition is the intricate brass-toned picture frame, which frames the two like a barrier; combined with the black iron chains hanging from above, it instantly maxes out the Dark Gothic style atmosphere. A lot of thought was also poured into the makeup and styling: Entelechia's long red hair paired with light blue contact lenses, the black horns on the headpiece contrasting with purple ribbons, and the gold chains and rubies of the accessories standing out vividly against the black dress. Meanwhile, Surtr features black hair and red eyes, with the red blush at the outer corners of the eyes deliberately emphasized; the golden flowers on the right and green feathers on the shoulder create a warm-cold color contrast with the left side.

Chemistry in a collaborative shoot is essential. The color palette of red and black with gold accents is inherently difficult to balance, so we experimented with lighting numerous times. The red ambient light hitting the frame produced a cool golden reflection, which perfectly neutralized the highly saturated red of the background. Their positioning inside the frame formed a mutually reflective visual dynamic. The entire set design matched the aloof temperament of the characters as much as possible, avoiding over-expressive facial cues to fully capture that sense of detachment—refusing communication and immersed in their own world. From polishing the prop frame and hanging the drapes in early prep to refining the light and shadow in post-processing, the whole process was quite demanding. But seeing that cold, crisp, yet vivid texture in the final image made every effort worthwhile. This duo shoot was a very unique experience; the collision of different personalities and interpretations brought the visual dialogue between Surtr and Entelechia vividly to life before the lens.
