Bringing Yangyang Xuanling from Wuthering Waves to life took over a month of dedicated preparation from concept to final edit. The union of crisp blue-and-white palettes with Traditional Chinese style aesthetics was captivating on paper, yet intricate to execute. Custom-dyeing the dark-blue-to-white gradient on the wig—particularly achieving natural transitions along the temples—required painstaking precision. The looped topknot was sculpted individually, and the avian hair ornament was hand-cast in resin, painted, and anchored with multiple bobby pins.

For makeup, bright blue contacts matched her eyes, complemented by deep blue and silver-gray shadow accented with subtle crimson blending at the outer corners for a luminous gaze. A matte base prevented reflections against the rich fabrics. The garment itself was richly layered: a black geometric jacquard base beneath a sheer white robe edged with blue piping and cloud embroidery. Her waist assembly was the most intricate part, combining red-and-blue metallic fixtures, blue plumage, and a bright blue sash fastened with secure snaps to prevent slipping during movement.

The prop longsword featured a brilliant blue blade engraved with crimson totems and an ornate silver crossguard.
