This shoot took place inside a volleyball equipment storage room, where volleyballs scattered across the floor and metallic wire carts perfectly amplified the spirited energy of this yellow-and-white Gymnastics uniform. Eleg naturally carries a playful, slightly lazy demeanor, so in designing poses, I incorporated subtle, teasing touches. For instance, sitting curled inside the metal wire cart with legs crossed, lightly pinching the top's hem to casually reveal a flat midriff—this effortless yet alluring style captured the tactile presence of a plump-legged girl. Another setup had me seated on a blue bench resting a foot atop a volleyball, striking a cheeky hand pose while the camera captured an oblique perspective to elongate leg lines.
For hair and makeup, to mirror character canon, I wore a light golden-blonde short bob wig with yellow highlights, paired with lavender-purple contact lenses. Soft pink eyeshadow and blush deepened an innocent, doll-like expression, grounded by a reddish-brown matte lip that kept the face luminous and defined without appearing overly heavy. The location was dense with colored traffic cones and wooden vaulting boxes; to isolate the subject from the busy background, the lighting crew utilized high-color-temperature continuous lights to wash the space in warm ambiance, enhancing skin clarity while defining the layered edge contours of the White stockings.
Costume-wise, the yellow-and-white spliced short-sleeved cropped tee and matching athletic shorts delivered vibrant visual punch. The black cross and paw-print insignia across the chest served as prime highlights; to draw focus toward them, I consciously framed them with my hands and arms in the compositions. Styled with over-the-knee White stockings, the look flattered leg lines while resonating with the blue-and-yellow palette of the sports hall. Sitting inside the cart was particularly tricky given the confined space, demanding constant leg readjustments to keep metal bars from obscuring key lines while showcasing the supple curves of the White stockings. Balancing one foot atop the volleyball required serious core strength to stay completely steady without rigid tension, maintaining natural expressions through multiple takes until locking in the ideal shot.
Communication with the photographer was vital throughout. We continually explored how to leverage the room's depth—placing the cart in the foreground and vaulting boxes behind to establish rich multi-plane layering. To infuse storytelling, I imagined myself resting right after a workout. This immersion helped me relax into authentic, unforced postures. In body language, I paid attention to finger curvature and pointed toes—subtle nuances that ultimately dictate visual tension. Because White stockings easily blow out under bright strobes, we fine-tuned light angles using softboxes to soften shadows, rendering leg skin with velvety texture.
Participating in this fan-creation festival was all about sharing Eleg from a fresh perspective. While fans typically see her combat-ready or in cyber-themed techwear, presenting her through an everyday, lifelike Gymnastics uniform revealed a whole different side of her charm. In on-location shoots, balancing chiaroscuro and environmental interaction is essential, especially in cluttered storage spaces where spatial depth makes the subject pop. Every shot was the fruit of iterative lighting trials and pose calibrations, crafted solely to capture her easygoing, genuine persona. Moving forward, I will continue exploring diverse locations and aesthetics to document these heartfelt moments.
