[Sandrone cosplay] Genshin Impact: Fatui Marionette Costume Try-On & Cosplay fitting Experience

As soon as I received this Sandrone cosplay costume from Manga Boutique, I tried it on immediately for a Cosplay fitting. Throughout the fitting, the sheer comfort of this outfit was truly a pleasant surprise. The fabric doesn't itch or irritate the skin and remains quite breathable against the body—a rare quality for a multi-layered lolita-style dress like this. You can tell its texture from the actual photos: the black fabric gives off a subtle sheen, the golden trim and embroidery carry substantial heft, and the ruby accessories boast a rich, accurate color. In terms of sizing and tailoring, Manga Boutique's sizing is very true to standard, unlike some costumes cut excessively tight just to look slimming; slipping it on allows effortless movement without suffocating tightness.

Speaking of Manga Boutique's apparel, I previously tried their Columbina (Damselette) line, but in comparison, the craftsmanship and silhouette of this Marionette set are vastly superior. Both the golden ornaments across the chest and the ruffled hemline have just the right amount of crisp structure. However, an unavoidable drawback is that small accessories detach quite easily. While shifting poses, the gem pendant at the bust and the feather on the headpiece both loosened up, so keeping clear glue or safety pins on hand is a must to avoid losing parts at a convention. Since I borrowed this from a close friend, I was extra careful while wearing it. This gorgeous gothic maid design—with its expansive white lace skirt flare complemented by the bright yellow long train at the back—packs a tremendous visual punch.

For photos, I deliberately picked a clean backdrop, standing on a fluffy white rug paired with White stockings and black Mary Janes, which instantly brought out that delicate doll-like aesthetic. Mirror selfies made showing my face inconvenient, so I intentionally posed lifting the skirt hem to showcase its layered tiers; the leg lines also appeared remarkably elongated under the White stockings. I have always loved Sandrone's persona—petite and refined on the surface, yet veiled in enigmatic intrigue within. This costume does a fantastic job with fidelity; pairing blonde hair with the white feather headpiece already channels the distinct aura of a Fatui Harbinger.

To make the costume fit better, slightly adjusting the neckline and rear lacing is necessary, ensuring comfort and greater mobility during posing. This is a heavily crafted costume, especially the skirt and train sections; testing a slight single-leg bend during photos props the skirt up to its most flattering silhouette. Under indoor downlighting, the golden patterns on the skirt reflect light beautifully, looking exceptionally luxurious. Although fragile accessories remain a pain point, once properly reinforced, the overall styling and quality are impeccably high. After this Cosplay fitting, my impression of Manga Boutique's patterns improved tremendously: it's not just visually stunning, but more importantly, comfortable to wear—a massive bonus for cosplayers attending conventions for hours on end. The overall cost-performance and comfort of this cosplay costume hold up remarkably well in this price range for Genshin Impact cosplay fans.
