For this Luo Tianyi cosplay look, the main focus was achieving a comfortable, casual cosplay vibe. The silver-gray wig I chose features a short twin-tail style. The ring-shaped hair accessory on top actually has built-in aluminum wire inside; shaping its curvature was quite time-consuming, but once styled, it instantly captures the character's signature recognition. The yellow star hairpin on the left side and the fluffy white flower accessories on both sides were the highlights of this wig styling. To prevent the ornaments from feeling too heavy and flattening the crown, I secured them independently with hidden bobby pins inside. The longer highlight strands around the sideburns, combined with the bangs, perfectly frame the contours of my cheeks, giving a smaller face shape that looks delicate in close-up shots.
For the contact lenses, I chose a yellow-green style, which is slightly brighter visually than the original design, as I wanted it to reflect a clear and lively texture under indoor lighting. Wearing large-diameter lenses paired with elongated upper eyeliner and dense false eyelashes can easily look heavy if not handled carefully. Therefore, I intentionally toned down the deep eye shadow colors and focused on making the eyeliner and lashes distinctly defined, subtly deepening the outer eye corners with a touch of reddish-brown to create an innocent yet expressive gaze.
As for the glasses, I selected a thin-rimmed black half-frame style so it wouldn't obscure the eye highlights. Many people feel wearing glasses can hide facial expressions, but as long as you set the base makeup properly around the nose pads to prevent oil shine and ensure the frame fits snugly against your cheeks, glasses actually serve as a wonderful meganekko aesthetic detail for anime vibes.
Regarding the outfit, to match the character's vibe, I chose a ribbed knit orange outfit style camisole. The white lace trim at the neckline acts as a finishing touch, adding rich detail and depth. A white puppy print with black English letters on the chest keeps the top from feeling plain. However, since knit fabric is form-fitting, it demands cleaner necklines and collarbones, so I adjusted my undergarment support specifically to avoid looking bulky.
A long dark-brown woven cord necklace with star and crushed stone pendants at the bottom elongated the visual proportions of the upper body. The beaded bracelet on my wrist is from my personal collection, which unexpectedly created a stylish color-blocking echo with the blue-purple nail polish on my fingers. During the shoot, for the first photo, I used a slightly elevated diagonal angle with a peace sign to appear energetic and lively; for the second photo, I leveled the camera while winking with one eye closed, capturing a relaxed, confident charm.
Overall, while this styling strived to capture the character's essence, there is always a boundary between 3D makeup and 2D original artwork, preventing a 100% exact replica—which is why I included an OOC apology at the start of the post. However, cosplay is inherently a journey of self-exploration. I personally place greater value on expressing my interpretation of the character's personality through this outfit. Natural indoor light reflections or slightly messy wig strands are all authentic parts of the cosplay experience; there's no need for heavy filters, and sharing this touch of everyday realism feels just right.
