[Ishtar Cosplay] Unearthed Archive Photos: Late-Night Fate/Grand Order Photoshoot Reflections

I dug up some older archive photos taken ages ago and retouched a few to share. It was a collaboration with Ms. Zhenni back then. To faithfully recreate the Red eyes and overall cool-toned Vintage Gothic style atmosphere, we specifically scouted stairs with white geometric railings and an artificial flower wall. The shoot took place at night primarily to capture that deep, dark backdrop illuminated by punchy flash lighting. To find the right red contact lenses, I tested multiple pairs before settling on the most vibrant, high-pigment set. Paired with pale base makeup and red lips, the reflective highlights created a genuine commanding presence.

The deep blue dress was made from a structured, rigid fabric featuring layered tiers, and because it was embedded with fine glitter, it sparkled brilliantly under the flash. The long white gloves extended above the elbows; because the material was rather stiff, I had to pay close attention during every pose to avoid exposing the seams. For props, we prepared a golden jewel box and a white lace folding fan, both meticulously arranged before the shoot. The stone steps were freezing cold and rock-hard that night; whether sitting or leaning, finding flattering angles while constantly adjusting the skirt to prevent wardrobe malfunctions was essential. The chilly air gave me a slight runny nose so I wasn't in peak condition, but fortunately Ms. Zhenni was great at guiding poses and captured wonderfully natural candid moments. I spent nearly an hour figuring out how to sit so the leg lines appeared elongated without looking stiff.

After wrapping up, I stored the files away and forgot about them. While organizing my hard drive recently, I realized the color grading held up remarkably well, so I decided to re-edit them myself. Retouching older photos like this is challenging because the lighting was quite harsh, casting deep facial shadows that needed brightening while preserving the razor-sharp intensity of the Red eyes. The skirt sequins and garment folds also required careful retouching so as not to appear artificial. This editing process allowed me to re-examine my photography habits over recent years, striking a balance between character fidelity and personal aesthetics. Looking back at this set, Rinshtar's proud aura flying across the heavens is accentuated by the silver collar and black twintails, taking on an even colder, sharper elegance.
