For this Wuthering Waves Traditional Chinese style cosplay shoot, a lot of preparation was made from costumes, makeup, props to scene construction. The wig chosen is light gold, with the bangs in the front slightly curled, the bun on top of the head paired with a blue-and-gold hair stick, and the red tassels and long ribbons hanging down the sides added a lot of points during shooting. In the makeup department, to restore the red eyes, color-rich contact lenses were specially selected, and a horizontal mark was meticulously drawn in the exact middle of the forehead using an eyeliner pen. The clothing structure is quite complex: a black halter neck spliced with gold embroidery, paired with a modified short skirt with a white base and gold patterns, and detachable black mesh sleeves on the shoulders trimmed with blue ribbon. To highlight the overall body lines, thin gold straps were added to the thighs, matched with black glossy chunky-heeled high heels. A blue-and-gold folding fan was held as the main prop, with a landscape painting pattern on the fan surface. The scene was chosen in a classically arranged Chinese-style room, where woven mats were laid on a wooden carved bed, surrounded by pink artificial plum blossom branches, with a plush rug on the floor, alongside a small wooden tea table and scroll ornaments. The lighting during the shoot was mainly warm-yellow and dark-toned, aiming to create that retro yet slightly mysterious atmosphere. The photographer used quite a bit of depth-of-field composition, such as blurring the plum blossom branches in the foreground to increase picture layering. This set of pictures took quite a while to shoot, changing many angles for sitting and lying postures, mainly to showcase the details of the costume, leg lines, and the light-and-shadow effect of the fan at different angles. To shoot these pictures well, we tried different lighting angles and positions; because the costume material has a reflective feel, the light position had to be adjusted to bring out the three-dimensionality of the gold threads. When posing, crossing the legs or raising one arm required keeping the back straight to showcase the costume's tailoring. The waist of this outfit is relatively form-fitting and prone to wrinkles when sitting for a long time, so the skirt hem had to be re-organized every time the pose changed. The gesture of holding the fan was also adjusted many times, requiring coordination with the gaze. The entire shooting process was a test of physical strength and patience, but seeing the final photos made everything feel completely worthwhile.
