This Z15 look for the Port's 2026 Summer Cool Festival took about half a month from material selection to the final makeup look. Portraying the shark-themed Z15, the overall vibe leans toward a fusion of dark gothic and techwear. To align with this temperament, I made numerous adjustments to both makeup and props.

First, let's look at the outfit coordination logic. The top is a black-and-white color-blocked halter design, accented on the chest with red lacing and a cross-star badge. The midriff specifically incorporates black lace and openwork mesh, adding breathing room to the visual composition so that the large expanse of black doesn't feel overly oppressive. The bottom features black leather shorts with a brown leather belt at the waist as a transition, giving the whole silhouette a sharper cut. My favorite part is the combination of striped thigh accents and black high-heeled over-the-knee boots, which not only flatters the leg lines but also projects an imposing aura when walking. The wide, flared black sleeves were the trickiest part to handle; made of a glossy fabric with distressed, tattered fabric strips along the edges, the dark red diamond-check cuffs and long claw-like black ornaments amp up the character's aggressive edge.

Regarding the wig, to achieve natural layering, I repeatedly trimmed and styled the red shoulder-length bob. During test fittings, the cross-patterned eyepatch over the right eye kept slipping, so I added anti-slip pads inside and adjusted the strap placement. The elongated elf ears were secured along the ear contours using skin wax and special adhesive; although they fit snugly, prolonged wear still required occasional breaks to relieve tension. The makeup focused on the sharpness of the eyes, while the lips were subtly detailed to complement a toothy grin.

The set design for this shoot was meticulously arranged. Gothic stained glass windows, dark drapes, and Roman columns established a rich, mysterious ambiance. Most eye-catching of all were the massive purple tentacle props surrounding the set; their suction cup textures were remarkably lifelike, requiring careful balance when sitting or leaning against them to avoid unwanted fabric wrinkles. Under the blue-purple cool lighting, the reflective sheen of the leather was amplified, evoking a sleek, chilly tech feel.

For pose design, I experimented with different standing and seated postures. In seated shots, I leaned forward or spread outward, using the voluminous flared sleeves to expand visual tension; in standing shots, slightly angling the body and raising an arm highlighted the flow and dynamics of the outfit. Because the tentacle props were quite tall, I had to continuously adjust my posture to accommodate high and low camera angles.

The biggest challenge of this look lay in managing the complex materials and accessories. Leather garments severely test endurance in muggy conditions, and glossy surfaces easily pick up fingerprints, requiring meticulous wipes with a soft cloth between takes. The eyepatch also restricted my vision, meaning I had to watch my footing carefully to avoid tripping over props. Still, seeing the final photos made every bit of effort worthwhile. I hope this portrayal lets fans of Z15 feel the character's one-of-a-kind charm.
