[Robin cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail: All Stars Resound

The character I am cosplaying this time is Robin from Honkai: Star Rail. When I first received this outfit, my most direct impression was how special the color is—it's not purely purple or blue, but a shimmering gradient color. The material on the chest has a great reflective effect, paired with the translucent white gauze on the shoulders, creating rich layers under the lights. I spent a long time trimming the wig; both the length of the bangs and the curve of the sideburns on both sides had to fit my face shape. That halo on top of the head is actually bent from metallic-textured wire, and it needs to be securely fixed when wearing, otherwise, it easily falls off during the shoot. The white feather hair accessories by the ears were also hand-glued. To ensure the lightness of the feathers during shooting, multiple layers of feathers of different lengths were stacked together. The staff in my hand is the highlight of this shoot. The structure of the staff is relatively complex, featuring a circular hollowed-out device in the center, combined with white and purple wing shapes on the outer periphery. I spent quite a bit of time on painting to achieve the metallic texture and gradient. Because the staff itself has some weight, I constantly adjusted my gripping posture during the shoot, trying to make the movements look like I was effortlessly waving it, which really tested my arm and core strength. In terms of post-processing and special effects, since Robin is associated with music and singing, I strongly requested the addition of glowing special effects for staff notation and musical notes. The floating feathers in the frame were also added in post-production. To match the overall color tone of the costume, the color of the feathers was adjusted to a purplish-white hue, paired with the starlight points in the background, aiming to create a feeling of singing in the starry sky. During the shoot, I tried various hand gestures, such as the gently cupped palm in the first picture, or the two-handed grip on the staff in the following pictures. To give my gaze more penetration, I used light blue circle lenses for my eye makeup, and embellished stars and sequins under my eyes. As a coser, every photoset—from preparing costumes, props, and wig styling, to lighting coordination during the shoot and post-processing retouching—is a complete creative process. This set of photos aims to convey Robin's ethereal yet powerful feeling. A dark-toned background combined with cool-toned light sources can brilliantly highlight the character's silhouette. Although the shooting process was somewhat tiring, seeing the effects of swirling musical notes and falling feathers in the final photos made all these preparations worth it.
