At the beginning of the New Year, this set of Fu Xuan photos can finally be shared with everyone! Looking at the screen filled with red lanterns and yellow flowers, it genuinely overflows with a festive Lunar New Year vibe. Taking advantage of 'today being a highly auspicious day,' I'm going on a complete 'vacation and slacking-off session' too!

A lot of details were prepared for this shoot. On the costume, I'm quite satisfied with the accuracy of the complex ruffles and streamers, especially that purple star-compass prop on the chest, where the handcrafted details were nailed perfectly. The pink wig was trimmed and styled, which, paired with the purple gemstone on the forehead and the iconic crown hair accessory, instantly brought out the temperament of the Master Diviner.

The scene layout leans toward a festive Chinese style, featuring big red lanterns, a traditional Chinese painting screen, and red jars with the character 'Fu' (good fortune) written on them. Combined with the warm yellow-toned lighting, it complements my skin tone softly. To showcase the lightweight feel of this outfit, comfortable sitting and leaning postures were specially selected during the shoot. Paired with the chibi Fu Xuan sticker as a little Easter egg on the white stockings, it added a touch of daily life vibe and playfulness to the frame.

The overall retouching avoided exaggerated filters and focused on a translucent look. On the day of the shoot, between equipment adjustments and repeated eye contact, we unknowingly shot for several hours. Although exhausting, I truly enjoyed the process of making the final photos. Whether it's the shiny purple-gold metallic textures or the folds and lines of the fabric in the shadows, the post-processing preserved them as meticulously as possible, hoping to convey Fu Xuan's tranquil, calm, yet slightly mysterious metaphysical traits.

Taking advantage of the Lunar New Year holiday, let's cast a little divination: today is auspicious for photoshoots, auspicious for receiving blessings, and auspicious for happily enjoying a vacation and slacking off!
