Stepping into the persona of My King from Fate while wearing this deep navy blue JK uniform, I shot a set of photos with a more casual, everyday feel at the Dreamland Anime Convention. The sailor collar and pleated skirt of this outfit feature a flattering slim cut; paired with black pantyhose and platform shoes, it preserves the character's dignified elegance while adding a touch of refreshing student charm. Standing under a massive metal mesh ceiling at the time, the strong backlighting from the venue behind cast a crystal-clear cool blue tone across the frame. The photographer asked me to glance back, so I turned my body slightly, extending one arm gently behind me to capture that effortless moment of looking back at the lens. Another full-body shot opened up the composition widely; the reflective floor tiles elongated the lines, making my legs look remarkably long, while standing alone in the vast venue generated a unique sense of solitude and aura.
The ambient lighting on-site was actually quite complex, but the photographer used the ultra-bright glass door entrance as the key light source. In this Backlit atmosphere, my entire silhouette was rimmed with soft light—even the ahoge on top of my head glowed, making the overall texture feel exceptionally luminous. In truth, doing cosplay doesn't always require holding weapons or striking rigid poses; this JK uniform highlights a relaxed, roaming lifestyle vibe. In crowded places like anime conventions, subtle body turns or walking candid captures feel far more natural than static posed standing. The venue structure of Dreamland Anime Convention is wonderfully suited for capturing this clash between industrial hardcore architecture and anime characters.
During shooting, I didn't intentionally mimic in-game stances; I simply envisioned myself as an ordinary girl in a sailor uniform getting ready to go out—only the blonde wig and pert ahoge atop my head gave away my identity. The base makeup texture was extremely clean; a luminous base paired with subtly emphasized eyeliner made my facial features pop under the backlight, capturing a soft, radiant clarity without overemphasizing harsh light contrasts. While taking the full-body shot, the floor reflection was quite blinding, but to maintain a natural standing posture, I stood before the lens for a long time while the photographer constantly sought the ideal exposure balance. I am thoroughly pleased with the final result; the dark blue uniform jacket displays excellent texture under cool lighting, and the white stripe accents prevent the overall look from feeling dull. This was a deeply relaxing convention shoot experience that required few intricate props, relying purely on the garment itself and ambient lighting to convey Altria's innate tenacity and independence.
