Sharing this set of Azur Lane Atago dog cosplay Convention photos from CPGZ07; I was quite pleased with how the on-site results turned out.
This time, I chose an all-white double-breasted stand-collar uniform. The gold horizontal stripes on the collar and the red-white-blue tricolor insignia on the chest nicely accentuated the overall visual appeal, while the golden shoulder tassels and gold trim on the cuffs added substance and depth to the uniform. The garment's crisp tailoring, paired with matching metallic buttons, gives it an authentic formal uniform feel without looking too rigid. The white skirt on the bottom has a great silhouette, paired with Black lace stockings featuring garter straps over the knees, serving as the key element to elongate body proportions. Visually, the pure white uniform top and the black lace garter stockings created a striking contrast of light and dark, beautifully showcasing the character's anime refinement and dimensional contours.
In terms of styling, the black animal ears on the head were a highlight, tied with white ribbons at the base to soften the stark contrast between black and white. The straight black hair was fully draped down, with neat bangs and side locks framing the face. For eye makeup, dark eyeliner defined the contours, while a teardrop beauty mark was added below the lower eyelid to enrich facial nuance. For the shoot, we chose a grey stone wall with cross seams as the background. The photographer used direct on-camera flash, which can be challenging when exposing white uniforms since it is easy to blow out fabric textures. Thus, we utilized high-angle overhead shots to mitigate highlight spillover, preserving both the garment's texture and the intricate black details.
The long black prop held in hand, paired with varied grip styles across the photos, created dynamic continuity across the poses. The ambient lighting and backgrounds at CPGZ07 were quite cluttered, so finding such a clean corner for Convention photos was truly a rare treat. Whenever cosplaying this kind of uniform paired with animal ears, though maintaining the gear is a bit heavy, bringing out the character's cool yet playful allure makes the entire process deeply enjoyable. This photo set captures one side of this event experience, and seeing the clean-cut white uniform combined with cat ears and black stockings feels genuinely substantial and rewarding.
