Although the October IJOY Anime & Game Festival was still packed with crowds, the temperature had genuinely cooled down, vastly improving the convention experience—wearing this outfit finally didn't mean melting from the heat and having makeup slide off.
This time I cosplayed Hanazuki from Azur Lane. For the wig, I selected light pink long straight hair; to give it extra volume, I deliberately used hair padding. A red hair ribbon with black-and-white plush animal ears sat atop my head, giving the prop a delightfully soft texture and bringing out the Pink-haired animal ears look. Makeup focus was placed on the eyes: green color contacts paired with dense upper and lower false eyelashes, with elongated eyeliner enhancing the Anime cosplay vibe. The blush was applied generously, blending wide swaths of pink around the eyes and cheeks, with a dab of highlighter on the tip of the nose to simulate a cute, subtle flush. On the lips, I applied a lustrous pink-toned lip glaze.
The costume is a high-necked, sleeveless design featuring white fabric with subtle jacquard lace patterns. The most eye-catching part is the floral embroidery on the chest—white petals with red stamens—connected to intricate golden vine metal ornaments. The structure is relatively intricate, requiring multiple adjustments when putting it on, and I added a red inner lining to ensure it looked stunning on camera. The entire ensemble produced gorgeous shots in well-lit areas.
Thanks to the brisk October weather, even though the exhibition hall was packed, at least I didn't have to constantly wipe away sweat and touch up my makeup. Walking around the venue in this outfit, I was lucky enough to be stopped by many photographers for photos. When posing, I liked lightly resting a finger on my chin or touching the neckpiece, drawing the visual focal point to the floral decoration at my chest. Overall, the completion level of this styling was very high, and the pink hair stood out prominently in the crowd. Touring the IJOY Anime & Game Festival this time, October truly felt like the most comfortable season—neither cold nor hot. I look forward to bringing even more polished works to future conventions.
