The application for the Shenzhen Anime Festival Independent travel has passed smoothly this time, and I am really happy to go to the Futian Convention and Exhibition Center from July 24 to 26 to meet up with everyone. I put a lot of thought into preparing this look; from trimming and styling the wig to every single pearl and lace detail on the outfit, everything was repeatedly adjusted many times. Especially in terms of location scouting and lighting coordination, I specifically looked for an indoor scene with a vintage style church theme, wanting to highlight that classical yet slightly mysterious atmosphere. On the day of the shoot, I walked back and forth several times to find the best angle. Fortunately, the final photo results were quite satisfying.
As a cosplayer who frequently attends conventions, I feel that the most important part of Independent travel is the face-to-face interaction with fellow enthusiasts; the atmosphere on-site and the communication in front of the lens always bring a lot of inspiration. The material of the costume this time is relatively heavy, and with the headpiece and accessories, the overall weight is not light. But thinking about being able to roam around the convention and take photos with everyone makes it feel completely worth it. Furthermore, the venue layout of Shenzhen Anime Festival has always been very unique, and the lighting and exhibitions are perfect for taking convention photos. I have already planned a few booths I want to visit in advance. Although the weather is hot, transforming into the character feels like entering another world; that kind of immersion cannot be provided by staying at home and editing photos. I usually share useful tips on makeup and costume making. If any friends are interested in the details of the outfit on-site, you are welcome to come and chat at any time.
I will be inside the venue for most of the convention, so everyone can drop by for an accidental encounter and quick shots, or we can study together how to pose better. I also accumulated some new lighting ideas while shooting this set of pictures, which might help other enthusiasts once I organize them later. In short, I can't wait to experience the atmosphere of the Shenzhen Anime Festival. Hall 1 of the Convention and Exhibition Center, waiting for us to come and play together on-site.
