This shoot took place along the seaside on Huaniao Island, where the oceanic hues and expansive backdrop matched the design of this Elysia swimsuit wonderfully. Before the shoot, I checked the weather forecast—two consecutive days of overcast skies, and on the only sunny day, we missed the chance to step into the surf due to the beach closing at 6:00 PM. Consequently, all the finished photos were taken on terraces and observation decks instead. While missing the sandy beach was a pity, the compositions still took full advantage of the vast ocean view.
As a newcomer cosplayer, I devoted considerable thought to the hair and makeup. The pink wig was layered, and the elf ears were angled to fit my facial structure. The outfit pairs white ruffles with black strappy accents, a silhouette that accentuates the waistline, while the starfish ornaments along the sides and the sheer blue cover-up lend a crisp, refreshing vibe throughout. To complement the summer atmosphere, an ice cream cone was brought along as a prop; during the shoot, I had to keep my facial expressions controlled to ensure the eyes remained expressive while keeping the body relaxed.
Speaking of the teamwork behind these photos: the first and fourth shots were taken by photographer Shutter-kun Asuka, who is exceptional at capturing natural light—the afternoon sun illuminated the skin with an authentic, soft texture. The third photo was taken by my wife, Bocaihuahuaguai; her candid close-up is wonderfully charming, blending a languid ease with playful charm. Because I get tense easily in front of cameras, she stood nearby capturing relaxed moments on her phone; the shot chosen for the cover is truly striking, showcasing the contours of my waist and legs nicely.
Although it was a shame not to catch the sunset directly on the beach, the coastal breeze of Huaniao Island granted these photos plenty of airy clarity. In post-processing, special care was taken to preserve the true colors of the sky and sea without over-editing. This experience also helped me better understand how to pose in front of the lens, such as adjusting angles to accentuate the flattering design of the garment. For this Elysia swimsuit look, an airy and graceful posture was crucial. Fortunately, the weather turned out well and the final outcome met expectations. I am thrilled to share these seaside photos with everyone.
