Today, I'm sharing this official Genshin Impact Kamisato Ayaka cosplay photoshoot, featuring her skin, Kamisato Ayaka: Springbloom Missive (cosplay).
When I first got this outfit, my immediate impression was how wonderfully fresh the palette felt. The blue-and-white colorway combined with intricate details makes it exceptionally well-suited for a winter or holiday-themed indoor studio shoot. Once worn, the multi-layered skirt required meticulous fluffing to achieve its full, voluminous silhouette, so getting dressed beforehand took quite some time to adjust the petticoat and waist ribbons properly.
For the wig, I selected a silvery-grey base, trimmed into blunt bangs and low twin tails. To faithfully recreate the character's hairstyle, the side braids were not only braided carefully into plaits, but also tied with small blue bows at the base. Perched atop the head is a wide-brimmed straw hat encircled by a wreath of white daisies—a detail that read wonderfully on camera. For makeup, I wore pale-blue circle lenses, emphasizing the eye shape and aegyo sal, while applying a rosy blush across the apples of my cheeks paired with a glossy true-red lip. The entire face remained clean and translucent, perfectly suited for this cheerful, charming aesthetic.
The garment details are remarkably rich. The inner white shirt features flared bell sleeves and an openwork neckline, layered beneath a blue-and-white spliced vest adorned with golden buttons and delicate chain accents. The oversized pink bow on the right shoulder serves as the defining focal point of the ensemble. The skirt features multiple tiers: the outer layer is a light-blue pleated skirt patterned with white petals and snowflake motifs, bordered by golden piping, while the inner tier is soft white mesh tulle. For warmth and visual harmony, I wore patterned white pantyhose (White stockings), paired with brown lace-up ankle boots accented with touches of pink along the laces and sides. While this outfit felt comfortable in the heated studio, shooting outdoors would certainly have demanded heat packs!
The studio set was decorated in a festive Christmas theme, complete with an ornamented tree, rustic wooden doors and windows, gift boxes, and teddy bear plushies. During shooting, I sat upon a wicker armchair, holding a folding fan or cradling a plush snowman doll. While posing, I had to be mindful not to let the voluminous skirt conceal my legs entirely; perching slightly sideways or extending one leg forward better showcased the tiered skirt and the texture of the White stockings. When holding the folding fan, my hand movements stayed light and gentle, applying slight wrist tension to extend graceful lines that matched the overall air of elegance.
The entire shoot went exceptionally smoothly. The ambient studio lighting was gentle and soft, requiring no harsh strobes. To emphasize the subject, the photographer utilized wide apertures, melting the Christmas tree and gift boxes in the background into lovely bokeh circles. This photoshoot for Kamisato Ayaka: Springbloom Missive was a delightful experience; the synergy between costume craftsmanship and props was outstanding, bringing out the authentic elegance of this skin. I look forward to exploring even more diverse Genshin Impact character styles in the future!
