On August 24th, for the offline Genshin Impact Snowpiercer pop-up event, I cosplayed as Lumine and finally visited the venue to check in. Seeing photos of the train model online had already amazed me, but experiencing it in person was something else entirely—the train was colossal, staged right in the mall atrium and dominating the visual center of the entire space.
First, talking about today's overall styling: the white dress with golden embroidery trim, arm guards, gloves, and white Stockings paired with over-the-knee boots. To faithfully capture the character's aura, I repeatedly adjusted every wear detail before heading out. Although the yellow sword prop wasn't heavy, balancing it properly while posing was essential, especially when standing in front of such a massive installation—movements had to be expansive and poised to command the frame. Because the mall's overhead lights were relatively harsh, I angled my poses during the shoot to utilize the train's natural shadows for added visual depth.
Our photographer today was @龙骧nightfall, and we communicated at length beforehand about scene composition and pose coordination. The train model boasted a powerful metallic texture and sci-fi aesthetic, with exquisite blue starlight emblems and yellow portholes. I experimented with different poses, such as flashing a V-sign in front, leaning sideways against the massive armored hull, or raising the sword overhead with one hand. Walking around in this outfit naturally felt slightly restrictive with the skirt and boots, but to produce top-tier shots, I pushed to hold peak form for every frame.
In truth, wearing this Lumine cosplay primarily tested my stamina. Moving across the venue while continuously maintaining facial expressions became quite exhausting toward the end. However, seeing the final photos made every bit of effort worthwhile. The sheer scale of the train model accentuated the character's presence, creating an engaging clash between sci-fi fantasy and reality.
The atmosphere at this offline pop-up was fantastic, drawing a lively crowd of onlookers. As my stop for the final run, I deeply treasured this opportunity. The photoshoot wasn't as effortless as it might seem—from straightening wardrobe details to freezing dynamic poses, every step required close collaboration. Being able to complete this cosplay set before such a massive full-scale train model was truly a wish fulfilled.
