The convention photos from Toronto's Fan Expo are finally sorted out—this time I cosplayed Aemeath for Toronto Comic Con. The sunlight that day was exceptionally bright, and the wind on the high-rise rooftop was fierce, but fortunately, the final images turned out wonderfully luminous. The design of this outfit is very distinctive: a white bodysuit paired with black bottoms, draped with a blue-and-pink gradient sheer cape that offers dynamic layering when moving. Because the fabric is relatively thick and the convention hall lacked adequate air conditioning, wearing it all day was truly a test of physical stamina. To maintain optimal condition for shooting, I brought along a portable fan and plenty of oil-blotting sheets, touching up with loose powder every half hour so sweat reflections wouldn't ruin the makeup.

Caring for the wig also took significant effort. Long straight pink hair frizzes easily; before heading out, I treated the ends with hair masks and a flat iron, finishing with holding spray. While it billows gracefully in the breeze, chaotic gusts meant immediately smoothing it out with a comb. The scepter prop was crafted from ABS material, carrying noticeable weight in hand. To maintain natural poses, my wrist had to subtly exert constant strength. Shooting on the rooftop against a backdrop of dense glass curtain wall architecture, we used a reflector to fill in facial shadows under natural sunlight, achieving a very translucent skin texture in the final shots.

At the convention, I met many enthusiastic photographers and fellow cosplayers, helping one another watch luggage and arrange capes. Capturing the cape billowing in the wind often required repeatedly turning, raising my arms, and sometimes taking dozens of continuous shots to capture a single perfect frame. Convention photography isn't just about striking poses; it tests physical coordination and command over the costume. For seated shots, to make the leg lines and Over-the-knee boots appear sleek and elongated, I kept pressing my center of gravity backward while engaging my core to avoid slouching.

The makeup this time placed heavy emphasis on the eyes. After trying several pairs of colored contacts, I chose bright brown ones to create a crisp contrast with the pink hair. For lips, I selected an orange-toned shade that looked radiant under outdoor light. The convention is truly a place where one can temporarily set aside real-world worries; watching everyone pursue their passions with such enthusiasm is deeply inspiring. Even though waking early, returning late, and walking in high heels caused sore feet, bringing the vision in my mind to life before the camera made all the effort worthwhile—another cherished memory for my Anime Life Archive.
