Yunnan's scenery is really something, especially the openness of the lakes and mountains, which is simply a natural background customized for this Wuthering Waves Aemeath character. In this shoot, what I mainly wanted to convey was that ethereal yet resilient temperament of the character. To maximize the costume effect in the real scene, we put a lot of work into the texture of the fabric, especially the details of the collar and the drape of the skirt, which remained highly restored even in the outdoor environment with changing light and shadow.
Actually, shooting under the complex light and shadow conditions of Yunnan, the biggest challenge is how to balance the character's own colors with the background's saturation. This time, I chose to shoot in front of a building by the lake, using the lines of the building to stabilize the grand background, while making the character look more like she is traveling through a vast world. The tone of the costume presented a very high-level gradient under the sun, which not only restored the visual focus of the picture but also endowed the character with a flowing beauty.
For many friends who pursue high restoration, the cutting proportions of the clothing are actually very critical. While maintaining the character's recognizability, this set of clothes also took into account the balance in motion. The cooperation this time was very smooth, and Yunnan's air and light really added a lot of color to this cosplay work, capturing that cross-dimensional atmosphere just right.
