The finished photos from this Eyjafjalla shoot at the Hangzhou Arknights Only 'Defending Glory' convention have finally arrived! When cosplaying the little sheep, styling the headpiece is by far the most demanding task. For the wig, I selected a gradient piece featuring a reddish-brown base fading into soft pastel pink at the tips. To craft Eyjafjalla's signature fluffy hair texture, I pre-styled the wig with a curling iron, then locked the layered bangs in place with hairspray to shape an airy, delicately tousled silhouette. The horns on both sides of the crown were cast from lightweight polymer clay, airbrushed with a smooth fade from ivory white to pastel pink, and anchored to the wig cap using bobby pins so they remained rock-solid through an entire convention day without budging.

Wardrobe-wise, the red-and-white checkered puff sleeves paired with translucent pink tulle ruffles feel delightfully light and airy in person, while the V-neck cut elegantly highlights the collarbones. For makeup, I wore crimson contact lenses, swept pinkish hues across the eyelids, and applied generous blush to evoke the character's innocent, lively vitality.

The ambient lighting at the convention was remarkably complex. Convention photos naturally suffer from harsh or uneven ambient light, so photographer Nord and I combed through the venue corners for quite some time, eventually utilizing on-site red ambient floodlights alongside bounce reflectors to carve out a theatrical crimson rim light.

Speaking of Photo 2, everyone sees me looking down and touching my horns. The mischievous photographer joked that it looked like the little sheep sprinkling salt. I initially thought the meme was a bit dry, but the captured result radiates a truly delightful cheekiness. My intention at that moment was to soften my gaze while defining the structure of my hands, letting the red lighting weave an aura that is subtly uncanny yet undeniably adorable.

The entire shoot progressed at a brisk pace; with heavy convention foot traffic, finding completely clean backdrops was nearly impossible. To tune out the crowd, we relied on a wide aperture to melt away background clutter. Through this theme, I hoped to channel that surreal coexistence of absurdity and vitality as if 'the earth turned into sour limes'—though just a written motif, I strove to reflect that nuanced tension through expressions and physical poise.

Cosplay extends far beyond merely putting on a costume; it centers on honoring the character's aura through meticulous nuance. I gave the props and fabrics subtle aging and textural treatments for this shoot, hoping viewers can feel that distinctive presence unique to Eyjafjalla. I hope everyone enjoys this set!
