This time I am bringing you the League of Legends Spirit Blossom Ahri Cosplay, and the process of shooting this set was truly both exhausting and fulfilling. From the moment I decided to create this styling, I knew the biggest challenge would be the multiple tails behind me. To restore that fluffy yet ethereal feel, the prop team custom-made huge light-blue plush tails. The moment I assembled them and put them on my back, I truly felt what a "sweet burden" meant—walking and turning both required core strength to control my center of gravity, which directly led to a massive consumption of physical stamina on the day of the shoot.
On the costume front, the design of this improved kimono is exceptionally sophisticated. Wide sleeves with a white base and blue borders, paired with a cyan-blue obi; the large flower in the middle of the obi and the gold-adorned red-base tassels add a brilliant splash of color to the overall ensemble. For the lower body, I paired deep blue and white spliced Stockings with golden trims along the edges, and black platform geta sandals with pink straps on my feet. To closely fit the character, I also deliberately chose a high-slit wearing style. For makeup, to highlight the fox's enchanting allure, I wore a bright pink gradient wig, painted pink facial textures, and matched it with a pair of fluffy animal ears.
Arriving at the studio, the set design this time was truly crafted with immense care. A red Japanese torii gate stands tall in the background, surrounded by an abundance of artificial cherry blossoms and purple-blue hydrangeas, while pink-and-white lotuses float in a water pool on the ground. To match the fantastical setting of Spirit Blossom, the scene was intentionally illuminated with cold blue lighting, paired with two floating blue glowing-orb props to foster a dreamy, magical atmosphere.
In terms of pose design, to showcase Ahri's agility and playfulness, I experimented with many large-scale movements. That high-kick photo was particularly a test of balance; because the weight of the tails behind me was not light, coupled with the constraints of the Stockings and geta, maintaining a steady foundation while striking an expansive pose required several trials before finding the most flawless point of exertion. Additionally, I sat on a silver reflector cloth and fake rock props, striking poses like holding up the glowing orb and gazing into the distance, striving to let my gaze exude a mysterious yet confident aura.
Throughout the entire photoshoot, what satisfied me the most was the fusion of light, shadow, and the character. The blue lighting projected onto the plush tails revealed a crystal-clear texture, and the use of the water pool and reflective materials lent an extra layer of spatial depth to the frame. I hope this visual presentation allows everyone to feel the unique charm of the character.
