[Amiya Cosplay] Embellishments of Blue Rings and Black Lace

Once this pair of fluffy rabbit ears on my head was fixed, the first layer of texture for the entire look came out. To fit the character's setting, I chose a brownish-tan wig with some layering this time, trimming the bangs slightly thinner so that it can frame my face during selfies without blocking the expressiveness of the false eyelashes and blue colored contact lenses.

In terms of makeup, to match the light blue contact lenses, I boldly used warm red to smudge the lower eyelids, combined with a highlight base to make the gaze look softer and more spirited. The lip color adopted a brick red with a slight watery luster, neutralizing the overall dark black lace clothing so that the frame wouldn't appear too gloomy.

For the outfit, the design of this black lace top is highly rich. The neckline features a ring of exquisite black lace pleats, which forms a beautiful echo with the edge and the choker on the neck. The silver-gray reflective tie, combined with that black three-dimensional square decorative buckle in the middle, adds a touch of techwear/tactical feel and detail layering to the originally deep tone. Those five highly saturated bright blue rings not only echo the eye color in shading but also appear exceptionally eye-catching against the backdrop of the black clothing. I particularly like the pose in the second photo where my five fingers are spread out, just wanting to capture all these little clever thoughts in the accessories.

The angles during shooting were also tried multiple times. Especially in the first photo, my hand lightly rests at the neckline while my gaze looks into the camera. This angle nicely utilizes the soft warm light indoors to express both the dimensionality of the facial bone structure and the fluffiness of the wig. Since these are half-body selfies, the center of gravity was mainly placed on expression management and the coordination of hand movements, striving to focus the visual attention of the frame on the head and shoulder areas.

Although this shoot was just a casual indoor record without setting up a particularly complex background or lighting, the plain wall conversely made the colors of the costume and the figure stand out more. Restricted by the indoor space, there were only a few usable angles, but while adjusting expressions facing the lens myself, I could gradually catch some sense of atmosphere that better fits this styling. To maintain the right stance for the rabbit ears, I would occasionally adjust the wearing angle of the headpiece during shooting breaks, lest it give things away from some tricky angle.

Overall, this animal ear outfit with fluffy beast ears, combined with such a mix of interweaving cool and warm colors, presents a wonderful sense of balance under the indoor lighting. Although it was just routine practice selfies, during the process of managing the wig and adjusting the makeup, my understanding of the character's styling deepened a bit. This process of focusing on styling details and makeup restoration is inherently an important component of the joy of doing cosplay. Having shot this style, looking back at it in the album brings a unique sense of satisfaction.
