[Yixuan Cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero, Capturing That Cool Elegance and Composure

This set of photos for Yixuan cosplay in Zenless Zone Zero is a Casual cosplay home shoot work I decided to do immediately after finalizing the costume setup. Although what is presented here is a composite effect combining a 2D head with a real-life body, I still put a lot of thought into selecting textures and styling to ensure the overall atmosphere.

Let's talk about the core components of this outfit first. The black glossy leather jacket on top has a heavy-duty texture—much stiffer than ordinary soft leather—giving off a crisp, powerful energy once worn. The jacket actually harbors many metallic decorations, such as collar accents and emblem elements on the shoulders and chest; these details look exceptionally delicate against the black background. The jacket's lining and hem feature white paneling, perfectly echoing the white pleated miniskirt I wore on the bottom. This classic black-and-white color contrast prevents the look from feeling dull while successfully creating a mysterious, cool, and distant visual impact in this Anime-style fashion.

The leg styling was also deliberately chosen to lengthen proportions. Black opaque tights combined with black pointed-toe glossy high heels—this Black stockings and high heels combination instantly gives the look an elegant, slightly distant executive-chic aura, fitting Yixuan's composed composure in combat. Standing up, the leg lines look smooth, and the white round display pedestal provides a fantastic spotlight effect, creating an illuminated ring right underfoot, as if stepping out from 2D spotlights straight into a real bedroom.

The shooting environment was quite everyday—just my bedroom. On the left side, the bed is covered with a blue-and-white striped bedspread, with cartoon plushies I collect on the nightstand and atmospheric anime posters and wall scrolls on the wall. The white wardrobe on the right serves as a clean background wall, balancing the composition nicely. This indoor setting with a strong touch of daily life, combined with the delicate 2D head, creates a subtle dimension-blending aesthetic. During the shoot, we faced a small challenge in balancing the lighting: ensuring the light halo on the round display stand underfoot remained clear and bright without letting overhead shadows look too rigid. By slightly adjusting the standing posture and camera down-angle, we captured these two images with satisfying overall results.

In the first picture, I crossed my hands in front of me with a subtle, cool smile, paired with flowing long white hair, focusing on a calm, protective guardian presence. The second photo is a bit livelier, with one hand raised to gently touch my cheek and neck, featuring softer eyes that bring out a lesser-known side of the character. Because the head in this cosplay utilized a refined 2D rendering style, the unique eye luster characteristic of anime art was preserved intact, which I feel is the most attractive aspect of this styling.

Honestly, when preparing for Yixuan, I was thinking about how to bring her effortless composure into real-world styling. The reference provided by Shiliangzhixu was fantastic, with a tailored fit that fit perfectly. Although it's just a casual snapshot-style setup without over-the-top special effects or complex studio props, I hope to let everyone feel a more grounded Yixuan cosplay through this contrast in real environments. Every time I put on this outfit and stand in that white ring of light, even without deliberately striking a combat stance, I feel completely immersed in the character's inner world. That sense of atmospheric synergy is probably where the charm of cosplay lies.
