I finally arrived at this vast, sweeping grassland to bring this Amiya outdoor shoot to life. As an Arknights cosplayer, choosing a grassland style setting for Amiya this time stemmed from wanting to deliver an organic, lively, and nature-immersed visual aesthetic. Wearing a knit hat patterned with brown openwork eyelets alongside plush animal ears, paired with a specially selected light-brown crinkled blouse and a deep-brown neckerchief, the overall look retained the character's core identity while weaving in the rustic simplicity of the prairie setting. For makeup, I paid particular attention to layered depth around the eyes, matched with vivid bright-blue contacts to grant her gaze a crystalline, luminous clarity.
The most extraordinary highlight of this shoot was cradling the wonderfully gentle little goat in my arms. Holding it close, I could feel its warm heartbeat; initially, it shifted around from time to time, requiring me to soothe its mood while simultaneously calibrating my facial expressions and posture. The prairie winds were brisk, tossing my long locks and the hat ribbons about, which organically turned into effortless kinetic elements within the frame. The sunlight was brilliant and piercing, so to preserve crisp facial definition under intense backlighting, we continuously adjusted the reflector angles, ultimately capturing shots brimming with luminous translucency and raw natural charm.
Doctor, being able to step out onto the prairie to take in nature together on such a sunny, breezy day was truly an absolute joy of a shoot. Significant care went into the garment textiles as well; to make the fabrics harmonize with the outdoor atmosphere, subtle crinkling textures were incorporated, allowing dynamic shifts of highlight and shadow to emerge gorgeously under the sunlight. While moving, running, and crouching across the grasslands in layered attire demanded quite a bit of physical stamina, seeing how the final photos turned out made every single moment worthwhile. I hope everyone loves this Amiya Kemonomimi cosplay project. If you're curious about more details behind this look, feel free to exchange thoughts on Outdoor photography as well!
