[Yu cosplay] Arknights red hair and horns rainy day Mirror selfie record

This is Xiao Yu. When is this rain going to stop? The humid air of continuous rainy days completely ruined the outdoor location shoot, forcing us to temporarily switch to an indoor Mirror selfie in the hotel room. As a coser somewhat obsessed with details, even with environmental limitations, I still wanted to properly document this complete Arknights Yu styling.

Grooming this red wig on a rainy day was exceptionally exhausting; the long straight hair needs to maintain its drape and gloss, and a slight dampness makes it frizzy. The pair of black branched horn props on top of the head are the focal point of the styling, and the gradient painting of the silver tips and the black main body needs careful care, securely fixed to the wig with hairbands and hairpins. The pointed ear props fit quite well, adorned with a blue hairband, bringing up the entire head contour.

In terms of makeup, a classic red tone was chosen; the layered blending of the eyeshadow deepened the eye contour, and the red lipstick echoes the hair color. Because the indoor lighting leans warm, when taking the Mirror selfie, I also had to pay attention to avoiding shadows from the phone and arms, finding the right angle to make the facial lighting even.

The clothing combination has a very rich layering. The outer gray-blue cardigan-style jacket features a split wide-sleeve design with white borders, and the white streamlined geometric decoration on the chest concentrates the visual center. Outside the inner white turtleneck, red fabric is faintly visible, with golden key-fret patterns along the edges; this multi-layer layered wearing style heavily tests smoothness in reality. The forearms are covered with tight-fitting sleeves featuring red-blue-purple gradient patterns, and the gloves share the same pattern. Although the material is form-fitting, extra care is always needed when putting it on and taking it off, fearing that the edges might tear. A light blue tassel pendant hangs from the left wrist, adding a slight sense of dynamics to a static standing posture.

The lower body is paired with loose white cargo pants with black drawstring cuffs, and a pair of black-white-red platform sneakers on the feet. To match the Mirror selfie, the posture of placing the left hand on the waist allows the drape of the jacket and the red inner layer to form a better display surface, while also balancing the position of the right hand holding the phone so it doesn't block the complex decorations on the chest. The warm-colored background of the wooden wardrobe in the room contrasts nicely with the dark gray floor tiles, and a small refrigerator and water cup on the countertop can be seen in the background, making it a genuine indoor environment.

Wearing this entire set indoors on a rainy day is indeed a bit stuffy, the wig's breathability is limited, and constant attention is needed to prevent accessories from falling off. However, looking at the multi-layered clothing details and the complete character form in the mirror, it feels like all the early preparation and adjustments weren't in vain. I hope the weather cooperates later so I can take Xiao Yu outdoors to a more suitable scene to complete the full photo shoot plan.
