This photoshoot for Arknights Amiya's Walking on water by moonlight summer spin-off styling focused on capturing a breezy, vacation-ready Rhodes Island Daily aesthetic. The location was scouted along an outdoor flight of stairs framed by verdant greenery and white balustrades. First, addressing the frequent questions about the vivo AI creative camera: testing its integrated filters under natural outdoor sunlight yielded incredible results. The raw frames featured punchy contrast, but the filter adjustments softened the luminance, smoothing skin tones while faithfully retaining the authentic, dappled foliage shadows to give the overall image crisp clarity.

For the makeup, to honor Amiya's signature features, I wore vibrant blue contact lenses, layered an earth-tone base with warm orange eyeshadow blends, and finished with a sheer, natural peach lip tint to maintain a dewy, translucent finish. The wig was trimmed with blunt bangs and side-framing tendrils, letting the reddish-brown straight locks glow with rich texture in the sunshine. The tapered ear-like ornaments were pinned securely to either flank of the straw hat, accented with pink lilies and green leaves to heighten the summery vibe. A bright blue choker was fastened around the neck to echo the character's primary color theme.

For the wardrobe ensemble, I chose a red-and-white gingham cropped short-sleeved top with an off-the-shoulder neckline that accentuated collarbone contours, anchored by a soft blue ribbon bow at the bust as a delightful visual accent. The lower half paired dark blue denim shorts with a bright blue thigh harness on the left leg and matching ankle ribbons, ensuring these tactical nuances preserved unmistakable character recognizability within modern casual wear. The shooting process heavily tested our command of natural light and shadow. Under a clear sky, harsh canopy shadows easily clutter a composition; we continually repositioned angles so the foliage silhouettes fell gracefully across the background and shorts rather than obscuring facial features. Gestures like holding the fan or lightly touching the hat brim kept body language loose while establishing organic interplay with the lens. Amiya embodies an innate blend of resilient strength and gentle tenderness, so rather than dramatic theatrics, I kept expressions serene—tilting my head slightly and maintaining a lucid, steady gaze to convey relaxed composure.

When capturing summer-themed outdoor cosplay like this, natural ease is paramount. There is no need for convoluted poses; simply resting casually along the steps or casually adjusting your hat allows high-yield frames to emerge effortlessly once you inhabit a relaxed state.
